When my step-daughter's baby girl hears my voice her eyes go real wide and then when she sees me she breaks out in the biggest smile possible. That is the most beautiful site I could ever hope to find. Then her little arms and legs will begin to flail about in anticipation of me picking her up. That is as good as it gets.
I'm not giving up on a life with N. I know what I feel and I feel we belong together. It may not happen this year. It may not happen in 10 years. But it will happen. That said, I'm not going to just sit around and wait. I'm going to live my life, pursue excitement. But there is always one person I will be coming back to.
Fate, do as you will. I'm not quitting. |
