 My Personal Stalker
So I had to make this trip to Walmart today because the wife was out of soda and cigarettes and I saw this woman that I just had to tell you about because it is such a bizarre story.

I used to work with this woman and so did my wife before we were married or even dating. I used to talk to her at work, nothing serious or anything, just normal conversation. She was married and had a couple of kids. Well, one night she calls me at home. We worked in a retail store and I dropped off pictures to get developed and she got my number off of the envelope. And she kept calling - every night. She told me how bad her marriage was and how unhappy she was. I tried to be a nice guy, reassuring her that she was still attractive and a good person and all that.

Now, I probably could have slept with her, but I didn't. I've always had pretty good sense about when sleeping with a woman would be a disaster and her stalking nature was setting off all kinds of bells and whistles.

Eventually, her husband called me at home. He was apparently keeping track of all her phone calls. He wasn't threatening, but was telling me about how long they were together and how much he loved her. I told him to tell her that and reassured him that I hadn't done anything but talk to her. But that wasn't quite the end of the story.

This woman turned up pregnant a few months later. She, and her husband, told lots of people that I was the father. When I started dating my wife, she even asked me about it. I just hope that kid doesn't show up on my door step one day and I have to tell him his parents lied to him.

After I was married, the phone calls to the house started when I was at work. It was this woman telling my wife that I wasn't really working, but I was with some other woman. This didn't play well with my wife's naturally suspicious nature, but she eventually figured out that I was telling the truth. We ended up changing our phone number.

When I saw that woman today, she started to talk and I quickly made a right-hand turn down an aisle.  Having a stalker makes for a good story, but not a good time.

I'm glad I read this. I know a woman like that, hopefully not as bad, but who knows? I had this feeling I should stay away. I think I will.

craziness man, just lunatic ville. i had an ex boyfriend that would park outside my house at midnight almost every night and watch me through the living room window. then he'd call me and say things like, "you look nice in that outfit, i like it when you wear red" or something. finally my brother snuck up on him one night with a shot gun and scared him shitless....never saw him again after that :)

Interesting. Some people can be really crazy and just stalk you or make some rumors up to ruin life. But good thing, you and your wife didn't let it get to you guys. =)
