Can You Be Forced to Feel?
I cant fight this feeling any longer
And yet Im still afraid to let it flow
What started out as friendship, has grown stronger
I only wish I had the strength to let it show

I tell myself that I cant hold out forever
I said there is no reason for my fear
Cause I feel so secure when were together
You give my life direction
You make everything so clear

Can we help what we feel? If you are hit with a hammer, would it be possible to not feel pain? If someone points a gun at you, is it possible not to feel fear? Is it possible to not feel love for someone you love? Is it possible to force yourself to feel love for someone?

I know what I am supposed to feel. But it isn't what I really feel. If I lie about what I feel am I some how changing what I feel?

There are a lot of questions and few answers. But I can't fight this feeling anymore.

We can try to control our emotions, our feelings as best as we can. But, we really can't help what we feel. Especially if it is this huge wave of emotions hovering over your entire being, shaking you from head to toe. Sometimes we just need to embrace those feelings, and hope we can get through the bad, and travel positively through the good.
