| make sure she isnt getting an infection, its highly unlikely but quite possible, with teeth coming in the is a direct link to her blood stream, kinda like having a cut on your leg and walking out into a field, anything can happen. Try putting wiskey on your finger and apply to teeth area, dont give her any wiskey just apply to the area. it should help stop that, take her to the doctor about the fever issue. sleeping alot seems normal though. Hope this helps. |

| my friends baby used to get fevers, there is a medicine you can get at your pharmacy, just ask your local pharmasist, and you put it on your finger and rub it on her gums. it will numb the pain and help with the fever, also popsicles whatever is in popsicles will break the fever, and also help by soothing her mouth with the cold. hope that helps :) |

We have something called paragori, not sure if you get it that side (US). It works wonders with my little angel who is by the way teething - Molars are the worse.
The fever is normal, don't panic.
Be prepared for runny tummy and nose too. Oh yeah... lotsa sleepless nights.
Welcome to my world!

My babies did that, they also got nappy rash as well.... when a baby is teething they produce more saliva which in turn makes their stomachs more acidic - which affects their urine and also they dribble more.
Teething is always this way but it is tough sometimes.
Good Luck :) |

Hi! Mother of 3, grandmother of 9 here.....fevers, diarrhea, fussiness, colic are all normal symptoms of teething. Unless accompanied by a fever higher than 101 degrees, there should be no cause for alarm.
After washing hands thoroughly, try massaging the gums....it will help the teeth to come through quicker.
Rub Baby Ora Gel or NumZit on her gums...being sure not to give more than recommended dosage.
Letting the baby suck/chew on a clean, cold, wet washcloth or popsicle(you are holding because of the cold and the stick) will be also, be soothing. Just remember that anything frozen should not be left on the gums for more than a few seconds at a time.
I recommend more cold juice and occasional water bottles, and less milk/formula during times of fever only, as milk tends to sometimes curdle on the stomach, causing a tummy ache as well.
I suggest that you NOT use whiskey or Paragoric! While it is true that Paragoric was widely used years ago, for colic/diarrhea, we have more information on it, today. Google it....Paragoric is derived from opium, hence, it will cause the infant to sleep more than usual. There is also evidence to suggest that it may cause drug addictions, later in life.
I hope this has helped....I wish you all the best!
