| Another Coward Strikes at Northern Illinois
|
|
|
I am so sick of the terror that cowards rain down on this world. It happened again today. Some coward at the University of Northern Ilinois decides he will shoot up a classroom, kill some people that he may or may not have known and then take his own life rather than answer for his actions.
I honestly don't care what the coward's rationale was. He was a coward like the Virginia Tech shooter, the sniper shooters in the Washington, D.C. area, the 911 terrorists, the kids at Columbine and so many others.
I understand depression and the need for attention, but why involve people that have nothing to do with your problems? Because it is easier to shoot a stranger. That way you are not killing someone who you know - someone you know to have children, spouses and parents. It's faceless and random. It's cowardly.
The only difference between a coward and a coward with a gun is the gun. |

Dear HungryHeart,
While I understand your anger, you certainly don't know anything about the human nature.
A coward can't bring themselves to confront anyone, much less take anothers life.
The people who are doing this killing are victims of abuse that has brought them to the point of exploding.
Most likely you have abused some other poor unfortunate human that doesn't fill your criteria, and thereby innocently brought pain to bear upon them.
We who put ourselves above another human are only exasperating that individuals point of breaking.
Have your anger.
But next time you call someone an idiot, or any other degrading term, just remember, you may be the straw that breaks the camels back!
Love & Peace,
jwcj

I don't think you really understand depression, if that is your explanation.

I wrote a blog about school shootings and it makes you wonder why? I am not trying to make an excuse however, what can we do as a person and a community of people to fix this violence. All your commenters are right but let's face it we all have in some from or another made fun of a person. It makes you wonder why can't we just be friend people or have a conversation with a stranger? Is the fear of acceptance such a road block that we don't bother? Or is it too emotionally draining for us to get involved? Are we just to busy to care? In a world where words hurt and stick & stones break your bone, where emotions are play more than the stocks on the stockmarket. Is the world just a sewer in hell and once we realize it then we can get on with our own lives? But then again love, hope, faith, and "warm & fuzzies" enligthen us.

Yes we need to care for others and respect people, tell me while in these past years it happens more and more, these senseless killings, because our society is a violent society, from video games to movies, violence and evil is big business, which sickens me. Go to blockbuster and see these sick movies that are top sellers, To sit and watch a movie where people are tortured and hurt wow it's out of control! People need to wake up and get out of their own world and be aware of others, start looking around and open your eyes.

lord, you got reamed my friend. there is no harsher slur than calling someone ignorant. i'd much rather have been referred to as an idiot or a coward. let everyone have their opinions and realize who it is that u are sticking up for. and for the record jwcj, implying that someone is ignorant or foolish is just as insulting as calling someone an idiot.
