F'rock,

Maybe you're just getting old and cheap, like me!

The Maxwell House plant is just a couple miles from where I live, and I love the smell of the beans roasting ... but let's face it - "It aint Kona baby"!

The smell of coffee beans roasting adds a delicious and unique aspect to the city, I love it!

... says the man who has never had the Kona experience ... LOL

Raymond, if you don't like coffee, nothing probably; but if you do, go buy some Kona and get back to me later.

Thom! Bite the damn bullet and treat yourself. It's $38.00 you would of spent on cigarettes and loose women. Coffee is however the elixor of life, and may help wield off any future brushes with "they clap."

Pita,

You are always "the voice of reason" I can count on to justify my expensive habits and deplete my bank account - Thank You!

You are welcome! I now have it in print. I am the voice of reason. Glad you see it my way. Some of you better put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Good grief! That came out a little smug. Oh well, I am sticking to it. And, I'm not taking it back:)

P.S. I'm with you on Kona coffee. Love those cups of liquid black gold. Heaven on earth. Sumatra'a a pretty good toe curler as well.

P.P.S. I can't believe Miss BeJeweled is sticking with grocery store crap. Makes me sad. For shes missing out.

Damn! That's quite pricey!

Ashley,

It truly is a "luxery" by every definition, and if you like coffee, you owe it to yourself to try it at least once - it is almost as good as sex in the afternoon ... and it is even better in the morning after sex!

I could almost write an erotic post about Kona coffee ... now that I think about it, I think I will do just that - is there such a thing as comedic erotica?
HMMmmmm ...

Never heard of Kona coffee! And I'd be to cheap too to buy it at $38.00/lb. Sticking with the grocery store crap....

Jewels,

If you like coffee, Kona coffee is an absolute delight to the senses and is unparalelled in the coffee arena, there is nothing that even comes close to it!

Just to smell the whole beans is an experience, the to grind them is something else, then to brew it is like good foreplay that leads up to a sip of the black gold, and then it hits you ... and you let out a delightful moan ... [I need to stop right here and go get a cold shower!]

Coffee has been getting just plain outrageous in the price department anymore!! Good thing I like to just stick to booze...lol:)

Snoops,

I used to like a shot of brandy in my coffee in the morning, then I started to like it in the afternoon, thenm in the evening, then all day long; maybe I got to liking it a bit too much ....

I love Maxwell House Dark Roast myself but then again I've never tried Kona. At those prices I don't think I ever will. The marijuana now... that's a different story all together.

Tony,

Kona is to coffee what Hawaiian is to pot. It is the very best, there is no better!

I think that pretty much sums it up as well as I can possibly describe it.

Too funny! Everything is expensive in Hawaii. But, we get what we pay for and Kona is one of the greatest coffees ever. (It must be 100% at $38 per pound). Sometimes the package will say 'Kona' and be a blend. In fact, you may even be able to make your own blend (unless it is not worth sacrificing perfection).

lol.. good stuff.

the actual top of the line coffee is Jamaican Blue Mountain.. when I worked in a coffee shop .. 18 years ago.. the Kona was $15.99/lb and the Jamaican $32.99.. So assuming its still double the price of the Kona today.. :X Yikes, right? Almost unfathomable.

But I love me some coffee too (fellow addict).. I'd be hesitant as well - but the happy spirit in me says go for it :))) >>>>>>>>>>>>>> ;>>>>>>>>>>>>>&g t; splurge! :)

I can't even afford starbucks.

Goddie,

I have not set foot in a Starbucks since 9/11, because they are traitors and were charging firemen for water to treat 9/11 victims in shock - right in the middle of a national disaster, an attack on American soil; I will never support Starbucks !!! [that is a whole other post in itself]
