The Dreaded Ex and her Princess
We had my boyfriends daughter for the entire day on Sunday. I was very suprised when he drove up with her in the front seat. She hasn't been allowed over for more than a year.
The first thing Princess said when she walked in, was 'my mummy hates you!' Nice little greeting that, but I let it slide. She pretty much ignored me the whole morning and into early afternoon. She was spending time with her dad, which was the whole idea of the visit afterall.
Then around two-ish she decided to play with me. When I say 'play', I mean, throw matchbox cars at my head, jump on me, kick and hit me and climb all over the furniture. My boy didn't say anything to her and sat there watching with this strange look on his face. Like he wanted to tell Princess to stop, but couldn't for fear of what the Dreaded Ex might say to him later. After a while, and a few bruises and painfull kicks in the stomach, I  lightly slapped her on the knee and told her to stop or I would tell her mother that she had been a naughty little girl. She stared right at me with a scowl on her face, and said 'don't you ever do that too me again. My mummy hates you and you can't tell me what to do!!'
I looked at my boy for some kind of response, but he pretended to be engrossed in the movie. Fed up, I went outside for a smoke to get away from it all. And the little princess followed me outside. Couldn't let her punching bag get away that easily.
so I withstood some more punches and flying cars, when she finally sat down on the step and wondered out loud when her dad would be taking her home. I asked her if she wanted to go home and she said no, she liked it here. No wonder!!  A free-for-all punching bag, a father who won't discipline her, she can run wild to her hearts content!!
Finally my boy came outside and said he was taking her home. After a temper tantrum, she was off and away, back to her perfect mothers house.

When my boy came back, he said that the Dreaded Ex, didn't even want her back yet. That she had begged and pleaded with him to take her for another few hours and return her at 9pm. A far cry from a few weeks ago when he was only allowed to visit Princess under the strict supervision of herself in her home for no more that an hour. I had to wonder who the sleazebag was, no doubt hiding in the bedroom waiting for some action....

It seems that Princess is going to end up a lot like her mother. Doesn't help that for the last year the Dreaded Ex has been whispering sweet nothings into her daughters ear. Me and Princess got on well when she was younger. I never had the intention to be a mother to her, even before the Dreaded Ex's little 'I will always be your Mummy and she never will be' speech, right in front of me and to her then two and half year old princess.
I don't want to take it out on her.

I've had all these little scenarios running through my head where I tell the Dreaded Ex everything I think about her and her little 'Princesses' behaviour. Standing up for myself and my relationship. I would pour them out here, but this expicit content thing would go crazy!!
I'm mad at my boy too. For allowing Princess to act that way and having no regard for anything or anyone. The Dreaded Ex still has him wrapped around her little finger, as much as he denies it. When she calls and says jump, he says how high? And when he calls and is turned down, he accepts it. He said at Christmas he was definitely divorcing her this year, but still has yet to do anything about it.

I've always encouraged my boy to see his daughter, but now I'm going to shut up. The Dreaded Ex can have it her way now - her house or not at all. That is absolutely fine by me!!
