Why is it that when you are home by yourself, you still have to close the door when you go to the toilet? For me it's just habit. And I feel kind of vulnerable when going with the door open. And if someone were to come do something to me, they would have to break through the locked security door, the locked wooden door and step on that sqeaky floorboard when coming up the hallway. I mean, I would definitely hear them coming.

Most guys probably don't close the door when they pee. They whip it out just about anywhere if they have to go. But girls are different - its private and you don't want anyone to see you at your worst.

But number twos/crapping/pooing/whatever you call it is a different story. Both guys and girls close the door, for which I'm kinda glad. Even when your home by yourself, even guys will close the door. It's actually quite strange when you think about it.

Why do we feel the need to close and lock the toilet door to do our business when we are by ourselves? Most of the time, there is no chance of someone walking in you.

I suppose its just one of those questions that float around in the universe, with no seemingly logical answer...
