MOM AND DAD

My parents are both gone now.Mom past away in 1997. She had been sickly pretty much most of her life.But the last two years were the hardest.But she was a good Mom. I miss her terribly to this day...
As for Dad....His death came unexpectedly in 2006. He was playing bridge with friends and they just finished a round and he bent down (They thought) to get his cards and on the floor he went. Heartattack at 73. I got the call from my niece about it and hurried out to the hospital (45 minutes away), and went the wrong way to get there. So called husband and he talked to me and told me how to get there..And hour and a half I finally made it. He had already been gone before he even got to the hospital. Sad thing was that where he was playing cards was only 10 minutes from the hospital.

But I must say I know God was there through it all. One day before mom past I saw a beautiful brown angel in the sky and I was filled with such peace.
And with Dad, everything went wrong with the article in the newspaper about his death. And the day of the viewing, it was storming something awful and that is the day the paper printed the viewing times..I just have to laugh because my Dad was a very private person and in some way I think he didn't really want all those people looking at him.......

Well I thank God for letting me have my parents for as long as he did.....So if your parents are still living.....Please take the time to Love and Cherish every moment with them....
