| Dealing With Difficult People...
|
|
|
Face it: sometimes people can be difficult. When
they are ,we may be tempted to strike back, either
verbally or in some other way.But usually there's a
better way----and our job is to find it.
Best-selling author Susan L. Taylor correctly
observed, "NOT EVERYONE IS HEALTHY ENOUGH
TO HAVE A FRONT-ROW SEAT IN YOUR LIFE."
In other words, the best way to deal with some
difficult people is to distance yourself from them.
As long as you live here on earth, you'll face countless
opportunties to lose your temper when other folks
behave badly. But God has a better plan: He wants
you to forgive and move on................
When something robs you of your peace of mind,
ask yourself if it is worth the energy you are
expending on it. If not, then put it out of your
mind in an act of discipline. Every time the
thought of "it" returns, refuse it...........

That's fine, but what if you yourself are the difficult person? Lol. I've been accused of that sometimes. ;)

Remove yourself, that's great advice. I've done that and it has worked wonders. No sense in having people in my life who aren't there for me and who just bring me down to levels that I'm not happy with. Forgive them and move on.
Great post, Hollis! XXX

Ellie,
Yes, I too had to remove myself from a few difficult ones in my life..I just don't get involved in the game of gossiping about your co-workers...
I had to forgive not only them but myself for allowing it to take over my every thought...
Thanks for the comment..Hugs friend.

You aare so right Hollis... I have been trying to make this point to others as well. "Why deal with a headache when there you can take an apirin, and get rid of it?" Forgiving is the aspirin, and once you forgive, it is easy to release the headache.
Thank You Hollis!
God Bless
