Rosie's Review: The Chronicles of Narnia; Prince C

An adventure to a new, fantastic world began in the hit movie of 2006, The Chronicles of Narnia; The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, and is now continued in recently released, Prince Caspian.  The action packed movie is based off of the second of the seven Chronicles of Narnia and is loved by thousands around the world.   Anyone who has read and loved the book by C.S Lewis would expect great things out of the movie, however they may be dissapointed.
From the point of view of any average movie lover, who knows nothing to little of the book, the movie is a wonder. Action packed and fast moving, Prince Caspian is said to be as good as, if not better than the first movie.  A beautifully mastered storyline and greatly performed characters, makes this movie enoyable, and attention grabbing throughout.
Because the makers of the movie decided to take a slightly different and somewhat shuffled order in the events of the story, those who stand true to the book may not enjoy the movie.  The events are either in a diffrent order, as in one event before the other instead of after, or altered so they are not quite the same.  Some of the characters, such as Peter, are also altered from what they are in the book, and may upset some people.  Book lovers should lower their expectations slightly and be wary.

My personal opion on this film is that as a story in its self is wonderfull, and exuberating.  A total thumbs up!   I do not think it was good enough to nessisarily win any academy awards at the beginning of next year, but is a fun family film.

If you saw the movie I would love your feedback.

You must have looked at Wikipedia too or something:P That's how I knew it wasn't "to the book". But, that only made me upset to know that apple of wisdom I didn't need to know. Otherwise, I thought it was a far more powerful film than the first. I also wrote a review.

well for Prince Caspian at least the changes from book to movie enhanced the movie, so I was able to enjoy it nonetheless. Some books made into movies are complete flops *cough* Eragon *cough* but Prince Caspian was not one of them. Prince Caspian is one of those rare cases where I enjoyed the movie as much as I enjoyed the book.

My problem was that I didn't enjoy the book to an extent and so loved the movie. I tried to write this review from a 'worldly' veiwpoint so to speak so that I wasn't seeing it through my eyes only, if you know what I mean. But I loved the movie. Found it better than the book actually

I totaly agree on Eragon, by the way. That was a total flop, what was Paolini thinking? I often wonder why he signed over rights to make the movie.
