Before retiring from my physically active job I consistently weighed 195 pounds which isn't bad considering my height of 6'2". After retiring it was a different story. Although I worked out 4 times a week and ate moderately it didn't make up for the inactivity of most of the day. Soon I was weighing 214 pounds and had a stomach that was out of control. I couldn't figure out what to do. No matter how I limited my meals the weight wouldn't go away.
Today after 2 months of simply eliminating all refined sugar and bread I weighed in at 191 lbs. That's all it took! No sugar, no bread. However, no sugar or bread means no soda pop, no ice cream, no candy, no cake, no cookies. You get the picture. I eat eggs, oatmeal, meat, salads, lots of tomatoes, fruit. No sandwiches except for a Subway about once a month. No pizza. It takes effort to stop snacking.
My goal is 184 lbs. which will be a loss of 30 pounds. Oh yeah, for the first 10 pounds I drank Slim Fast whenever I needed something for a snack or needed a sweet taste.
Well, there you go.
