| Atheism,God,etc...[[I'm bored, so have at it]]

Right now, I am really into the whole "Modern Satanist" theory, If you want to know what it is, I agree with a fair amount of what is said on this page: http://www.modernsatanism.com/satanism.html.
Before this theory I was agnostic, and before that, christian. & I'm just throwing this out there, but I'm moderatly liberal. And even though I'm not Christian right now, I am not closed off to the idea of "accepting God into my life" as some might say. It's just that whenever I think about it, I laugh a little. I do like the idea that it can give a person inner peace though. I am still open to any outsider opinions-just don't waste your time trying to piss me off, I'll just delete the offending post and move on-I've gotten really good at that:)
Anyway, to the point-I made this blog so that if anyone wanted to edjucate me with their religion, they could have at it. [Just try to keep be interested, I stopped going to church in the first place because it bored be too much] |

I don't quite know what I believe in, to be honest. I've grown up with so many theorys-so much has been said to me, by Grandparents, parents.. friends. Everyone. Its just like one big mush in my head, really. I just keep adding to my beliefs. At the moment I believe in a greater being out there (Maybe because of my dad), and i also believe in Science (mostly), because on the radio in the car tonight the woman said that scientists or whatever had found some warm mist around other stars which are actually planets simular to Earth. So I believe theres other humans out there.
I really do just need one set thing to believe in, to give me hope and guide me through sad times, a thing that doesn't control my life but is always there for answers.
Gosh I don't even know why i'm telling you this. xD

lol-that's why I'm doing the modern satanist thing-I get my peace of mind knowing that if I want answers or somone to look to, I will look to myself,because I fully trust myself to know what I want,I just have to go for it.I guess I don't feel it's enough to just hand my faith to somthing I can't see with my own eyes-I'm big on the theory of evolution because of that too;it's been proven, so that pretty much does it for me:)

Yeah-that's sort of what I think, but I've tried the having faith thing, and it didn't work out because I find it's easier to have faith in myself, because I know I can change things in my life if I want to, instead of praying for the change to come-I find it works faster that way lol. But as for praying for others, if I did it, I don't think it would make a difference even if there is a God, because my heart really wouldn't be in it at all, which is a shame.To summerize my rambleing though, I think it all comes down to what gives a person inner peace. The theory on evolution does this for me because I guess I'm just more of a realist/pessamist. I can be pretty open minded, but since the whole evolution thing seems to have a little more proof behind it than the Bible, I am just more comfortable beliving that when I die,my body will just decompose & the world will go riht along without me. My only hope is that I can make some sort of impact. [Although, I have been toying with the idea of people having a soul & it going somewhere after a person dies...rencarnation I guess:p lol]

Hey Helena. I gave up on religion a while back. My family never really focused on it so I was free to believe in whatever I wanted so i chose not to believe in anything at all. I consider myself atheist. I dont believe in religion and I dont think there was a creator for the Earth. I believe in evolution. I find it simpler to just say that religion is not for me and I dont believe in God.

I'm an athiest too and I believe in evolution. I can't explain nor prove it, and I don't mind that. I like not knowing it all and believe life would be very boring if everything could be proved and completely understood.
There's no clear cut proof of the evolution theory...but then theres no clear-cut proof of the thoery of creation either. So as I say...each to their own. xxx

I completely agree:):)& the whole moder satanism this has been working so well for me,I believe in myself much more than I used to & I can still believe in the theory of evolution-things are doin' pretty well in that area^-^I think I'm going to be this way for a long time,at the least-I'm just glad I found somthing that works for me, & makes me happy.
