 Vacation to the Coast
Well I'm back from visiting the parents. Was...interesting to say the least. I did some exploring while I was there-mom slept most of the day (about 20 hours) so I had a lot of free time. Figured pictures would be better then trying to describe everything, so here you go~

I found Narnia! Really! It was a lampost in the middle of nowhere!

Outside my parent's house. So pretty!

Marshland I found. No one else around. Was so nice!

My brother. He so hates to have his picture taken!

The lighthouse. Wish I could have gone to it but it was offshore.

Sunset. I love sunsets. Even this picture didn't do it justice!

Creepy trees on the way back to my parent's house. It's completly dark where they live

Found this really beautiful nature preserve. Completly deserted as well.

Just me at the nature preserve.

Only bird tracks on the ground.

Sunset at the Nature preserve. This was absolutly beautiful!

Found Neptune! Well Neptune's beach. Too bad the sandcastle competition wasn't going on right now.

Just the ocean. Weren't many people out. Was nice and peaceful.

Millions of birds sitting on the pier!

These seagulls didn't care how close I got to them, they just sat there! Some even walked over to me. Was kinda cool.

Just me at the beach-hair being blown around like crazy!!!

Tunnel under the ocean. Something...not really natural about speeding along at 60pmh while under a giant body of water!

Headed home. They have factories on water. Think this is...bad.

In the mountains-all the water froze just like this. Was gorgeous to drive through with 'frozen' waterfalls.

Here is where I thought I'd be home soon...Was my turn to drive and I was planning on driving straight through (no more stops!)

Going about 75mph my tires blew and shredded! Right at rush hour in Cincinnati! Wasn't fun and I think I'm still shaking from it. Apparently all it takes is one little puncture and wham! No more tire! Didn't hit anyone and the other cars on the road saw what happened so they let me over. Then my bro and I had to change it...in snow! Uugh! But it was an adventure!

Anyway there you have it. It was..interesting to visit with the parents. My dad hovered around my mother most of the time and my mom, well she's better but she isn't well yet. She may be able to walk but she can't really use her left hand and she falls sometimes. It's distressing. My brother and I didn't talk about it until we had been driving back for about 7 hours. Then we just mentioned it for a minute and went on. She's back in the hospital tonight ready for her next dose of chemo. Hope it works.

I think both sunset pics are very nice...even if the camera is not ideal. They are saveable:)

I am amazed the seagulls came up to you. What is it about animals being friendly with people named Heather?:P

Too cool!:P It does seem you found Narnia...but no fawns or talking animals.

The rest of the pics look rather desolate.

I assume whoever wasnt driving(didnt realize you went with yer brother at first) took that speeding tunnel pic? ANd, why were you going so fast??

A mild adventure, for sure. Thanks for sharing.

Great pictures, I never leave home without my camera. You never know what your going to see and most of the time if you have a picture it's golden. Glad your trip went well. I like the beach pictures, I miss the beach, we use to spend every weekend on South Padre surf fishing. Peace and relaxing. Way to go Heather!

Brainy~ Love taking pictures always of sunsets (and sunrises if I'm ever awake). Doesn't matter what time of year it is they're always beautiful. Yeah seagulls came up to me. At the marsh had a blue herron almost fly into me-then it stood there and watched me! (Would have taken a pic but it looked like it was gonna eat me so I left :/) Maybe it is the name...my friends still laugh about the time we went camping and I had a racoon that wouldn't leave my hair alone! Who said there weren't talking animals? I was with my brother... (ha!) Well was winter, so not a lot of green. But it was peaceful and still beautiful in it's simplicity. SOmething about being the only one around just is...nice. I took tunnel pic. Speed limit is 55 through it-it was the interstate!

Hill~I try to always have my camera with me as well. I actually forgot it when I left and ended up buying a new one-but I got such a great deal because I took the display model it was worth it. I always like to have a record of things-so I'm always taking pics of random things. Problem is most pics I'm not in because I'm the only one who takes them! I do love the beach...I can't stand a lot of people on them, I like the space, and it was so nice to go and be basically the only one there. Other people were there, but they were all spread out. I've never lived on the beach, one day I hope to. But where it's always warm! And I want a private beach! :D I actually love to fish. Something my grandfather taught me when I was..oh 2 or so. I can catch them, clean them, cook them, but I'm not a big fan of eating them-go figure. My friends love it though cause when we go camping they have me catch and cook dinner ;D I've fished all over (deep sea, river, fly, surf, lake, alaska king salmon!). Really want to go marlin fishing. Not to keep, but take a pic and toss back, and just to have the experience of reeling something like that in.
