Has Darwin Murdered God?
Creation Conferences - Has Darwin Murdered God?
Our Creation series, Has Darwin Murdered God?, was also hosted by the Wiggins Christian Community Center June 29, 30, and July 1. They rented the new Senior Center. A neutral hall was a great venue to meet in. The place was packed! We had several local pastors out in support from various denominations. Although we had Pentecostals, Methodist, Catholics, Lutherans, Non-denominationals, and Baptists present. The majority were Baptists. We don't think the majority were Baptists because of our background and support from Baptists, but rather because of the sheer overwhelming majority of Christians there have that background.
The Mosaic Community Fellowship church in Allen, TX has hosted us more than once. Most recently we were there on October 18th and 19th. Wewere of course conducting the Creation Conference "Has Darwin Murdered God?" In attendance at the conference were members, leaders, and pastors of several area churches of various persuasions. It was a really great time of Bible Study and fellowship. We have been invited back again later this year.

DidDarwin Murder God?
DidDarwin murder God? Charles Darwinclaimed he had murdered God. Nowover 100 years after his death discoveries in science are killing histheory. Macro-evolution, as theresult of natural selection, fails to explain life on Earth and is solidlyblocked at five separate points:
1)Evolutionary theory is blocked at its beginning, the big bang. Some willclaim that the Big Bang is not linked to macro-evolution. However, it is the accepted explanationof how the universe as we know it could have supposedly come into existencewithout God. It is commonlybelieved in the scientific community that prior to this supposed event thatthere was nothing. No time, orspace, or matter. Then from thisnothingness, for a reason we can’t explain, there was an explosion, andbillions of years later, and here we are.
Thisdoes not meet the test of scientific method. It is not testable or observable…or is it? What if we were to do anexperiment? What if we tookabsolutely nothing (what supposedly existed before the supposed Big Bang) andput it into a cardboard box. Howlong would we have to wait for it to explode and become everything – all thetime, matter, and energy in a universe? If we wait billions of years, it is possible isn’t it? Not hardly. Wait for eternity. It won’t happen. Either theBig Bang theory isn’t testable and observable as true science must be, or it istestable and the test proves it wrong. The Big Bang cannot explain how Earth came to exist because somethingcannot come from nothing, unless there is a God and He brought something out ofnothing.
2)Evolution is blocked at the inception of life and the existence of a firstliving cell. Life cannot form from non-life. Scientists arecontinuing to fail at intentionally producing this in laboratories. They are doing their best because, ifit could be done, the first to do it would be wealthy and famous.
Ithas been hypothesized that Oxygen was not in Earth’s early atmosphere becauseit is one of the most highly reactive elements and would have prevented thespontaneous generation of a first living cell. Stanley Miller, in his famous 1953 experiments, excludedOxygen from his “primitive” atmosphere. Did he have any evidence that Earth’s atmosphere was really thatway? No. There is much to suggest otherwise. He just excluded it because his projectdidn’t work with oxygen included.
However, when Apollo 16 photographed the Earth’s upper atmosphere some 200 times, theinitial reports suggested that the sun’s radiation on water vapor that ascendsto Earth’s upper atmosphere may be our primary supply of Oxygen on Earth andnot photosynthesis as was originally believed. You have to have sunlight and water for life to exist and/orform. When you have sunlight andwater you have water vapor, which the sun’s radiation turns into Oxygen in theupper atmosphere.
ConsiderVenus, our closest neighbor in space, only 120 day journey by modern spaceships. It has a high percentage ofOxygen in its atmosphere with absolutely no oxygen producing plant life. The origin of Earth’s oxygen, admittedly by evolutionists in the know, causes a serious problem forevolutionary theory. That has ledto speculation that life was brought to this planet from outer space on anasteroid. What will they come upwith next?
Evenif by chance you could get all the necessary amino acids and poly peptidestogether at once, you have no assembly or reproductive instructions. The complexity of life hinges uponinformation. Without informationlife could not exist. Theinformation is beyond what can be created in a laboratory. The assumption of information at thebeginning blocks evolution.
Eventhe most basic life forms are more complex than my outboard boat motor. I have all the pieces for it but Ican’t get them put together good enough to get it to run. It certainly could not assemble itselfand neither could a “first cell” on Earth.
3)Organized living systems block evolutionary theory. Darwin admitted that if any organ existed that could nothave been formed by numerous, slight modifications that his theory wouldabsolutely break down.
Irreduciblycomplex systems such as blood clotting, the heart, the eye, the bacterialflagellum, etc. prove natural selection to be an inadequate explanation and itis safe to say Darwin’s theory has broken down. God has created in nature living systems that only can workonce completely assembled and whole.
Whatpart of the bacterial flagellum can you remove and it remain functional. Without all pieces and parts assembledit won’t work. Natural selectioncannot adequately explain non-functional parts just hanging around untilsomething functional forms, because non-functioning parts supply no functionaladvantage.
4)The lack of transitional fossil forms blocks evolution. The missing links are stillmissing. Leading evolutionists andpaleontologists (such as the late Stephen Jay Gould) admit that there isprecious little in the way of transitional forms and that they, in many cases, cannot even imagine functional intermediates.
5)Natural Selection cannot adequately account for human intelligence. Hunting and gathering do not require the mental capacity to comprehendmath and science. Alfred Russell Wallace, the co-founded of naturalselection gave up the theory because what he viewed as primitive people provedintelligent beyond their needs. Natural Selection cannot explain ability far in excess of need, becauseit produces no functional advantage.
DidDarwin Murder God? Not hardly...At best he could only be charged withattempted murder.

Can a Creationists Be a Scientist?
Evolutionists do not believe creationists can be good scientists. They believe that if you start with the assumption that there is a God, that you cannot honestly follow where the scientific evidence leads.
Yet atheistic evolutionists begin with the assumption that God doesn't exist. Could this assumption actually inhibit them from being good scientists? I mean, if they were to discover evidence that points to a Creator, would the assumption of God does not exist prohibit them from following where the evidence leads?
It is a double standard for atheistic scientists to deny creationists can be good scientists because of their belief that God does exists, while approaching science with the assumption God does not exist.
