The Yogya earthquake back in May 27,2006 destroyed Prambanan Temples. When we visited the place in August 16,2009, part of this Hindu temple complex was still closed as they were still fixing it.
The day was sunny and very hot and we were thankful for the possibility to hire umbrellas for few thousands rupiahs. While walking around the area, my mind went back many years ago when I visited the temples with everyone from year 10 (SMAK 1 Sido Kare Solo). Also I remember a superstition around this ancient place. People believe that lovers who are not married should not visit these temples as they are bound to break up! I always try not to believe it, but it really happened to me once. What if we did not go to this place at that time? Would we have been married with a dozen children and few grand children now?
