There is nothing like driving behind a School Bus that is either on its way to school or on its way home, loaded with high spirited children.. Usually if I am so lucky to be behind a school bus on its way, with half awake children, so ready to start their school day, all one can see is the heads of the children moving around, BUT sometimes someone will be awake enough to take the time to wave out the back window at me and naturally I wave back. It is the on the way home from school bus that brings a big smile to my face. Those faces letting off their stored up energy from their school day, just itching to be home and free to play..One cannot help but smile when those faces appear pressed to the windows of the bus..

Of course sometimes I am behind the local bus that is carrying kids I know from my neighborhood..It is even better when you recognize some of the kids faces in the back window of the bus..I have even had them look at me with recognition and still continue their faces.
I never take offense at them, and sometimes have made faces back at them, which just eggs them on..If I am pulling in my driveway at home, and they are getting off the schoolbus across the street, they just wave and grin and me and take off to their houses..I do have one warning if you do get behind a school bus. Make sure the kids are under 10 years old..The school buses carrying the "older kids" to and from school is another story, and not one that would bring a smile to ones face. Sometimes older children have lost that innocent look that the younger children still have. You all take care, remember those "hugs"
