| Enjoying my Job |
When I left Blue Ox, I was at such a low point in life that I hated everything about my job from the job itself to the people I worked with. I was so happy to be out of there, but now that they have taken me back, I'm more happy than I could've imagined. I miss Jade TONS, but I am also happy to be welcomed back with such friendly and open arms. Nearly everyone I knew that still works there was happy to see me and made sure to let me know. I remembered almost everything so that's nice too. I'm already back on the phones full force and the nice thing is, since we're so busy, Ellen doesn't have us doing any outbound phone calls yet. I have a strange feeling once she gets the full team she wants, we'll start doing those calls again, but I'm going to take joy in the fact that we don't have to yet.
Keith isn't doing too bad with being a stay-at-home Dad. I think when he gets to, he's going to be happy to go back to work though. He keeps commenting on how he wouldn't mind staying home all the time, but life will really be so much easier with 2 incomes and I hope he really understands that. If we could afford for only 1 of us to work and be okay, we would, but life just isn't like that nowadays.
Oh yes, money has been super tight lately because Keith hasn't been getting his worker's comp checks. I guess last month when he saw the doctor, he was verbally told to go to physical therapy, but was never given a script for it. Keith's worker's comp guy told him he had to have the script to do therapy. Keith called to get one, but never heard back or anything. We found out 2 weeks ago that because he didn't do therapy, he was non-compliant. Keith tried arguing it with Ernest, but no such luck. They said it's his fault he didn't go, so he won't get paid again until like the 26th or something which is crap. Julia has been helping out, but she's being very stingy. She said not to ask my parents for help on this one, but then she told us she'll just pay our bills for us, not leaving us with any cash to get things we can't get with our EBT card or WIC checks.
I showed Keith how to ChaCha last night so he's going to be doing that during the day when he's taking care of Jade. He said until he can go back to work and get his checks again, this is the only thing we can do. He did it all day yesterday and made about $20 so he plans on doing it all day today again to see exactly how much he can make in a day.
Jade has been doing some great tummy time head lifts!!! As long as she's on her boppy, she's got her head lifted for the most part. She still needs a little work when she's flat on her tummy, but at least she's gaining the strength she needs to lift her head off the floor!
Welp, not much else to report...oh yeah, my Sims 3 game isn't working. I got a new graphics card from my friend Brian and it fixed the issues I was having with The Sims 2, but there is an issue with the game or the launcher itself that is causing the game to crash about 15 minutes into play, so until they can figure out a fix or get a patch, I think I'm going to load my Sims 2 games and play that for a while. It's all I can really do if I want to keep having some sort of enjoyment besides reading now.
