Open up your hearts people and listen to what I’m about to say
Because all of the emotion killers I am about to slay
Ya see I’m a rebel to take risks I am more than bold
I’ve been through the blistering flames
I’ve felt the frost bites of the freezing cold
I’ve experienced the pain as well as the consequences
Of my mistakes and I think about it every night
As I lie awake what’s done is done you can’t turn back
You can’t change the past so instead why don’t you start on a new path?
I’m only human and yes I’ve made mistakes
But I’ve learned from them so what difference does it make?
They’ve only made better, stronger and smarter
Than I was before
For the Lord is my teacher and I can’t help but wonder
What he has in store
I’m on bended knee coming clean to the Lord
Asking him to purify me of my sins and shower me with reward
For faithfully praising you through thick and thin
I’ve never stopped I always have been
Out of all this struggling
I’ve had no to choice but to have
A strong faith and belief that I will rise from underneath
The pile of gravel
My future success will start to unravel
As I’m alone here
In the darkness of my room
I would like to shed some light on you people
And my words I’d love for your minds to consume
