Fewer good paying production jobs.
More low paying service jobs.
NAFTA, CAFTA, and Most Favored Nation trading status for China.
All the good jobs were given to foreigners, and we were left with the dregs.
Why did the politicians pass the laws that made this happen?
Now 20 million illegal immigrants are taking our jobs right here in America, and the politicians have done nothing to stop it.
They tried to pass the Bush-Kennedy bi-partisan amnesty bill, and would have passed it if millions of calls from outraged citizens hadn't flooded congress.
I knew a man who worked through the Great Depression.
He worked ten hours a day, seven days a week, for 35 cents an hour.
No overtime pay, or days off, or holidays.
Just stand at your machine and work, 10 hours, every day.
About once every two weeks the boss would ask for a favor, stay late, finish a job that night.
There was no pay at all for that, it was a favor.
If you didn't, you got fired.
If you came in late, left early, or got too sick to work, you got fired.
There were 40 men standing at forty machines in that shop.
There were 40 more who were allowed to sit in a waiting room all day for no pay.
They were the replacements for anyone who was fired.
They were there to show the workers that they could all be replaced immediately, if the boss wanted to do so.
This is a billionaires' dream world.
Millions more workers than jobs.
Massive unemployment.
People so desperate they will take any job, under any conditions, for very low pay.
Because that's better than watching your family starve.
Add to that a shrinking middle class being taxed to death to pay welfare.
Is that why the politicians passed all those laws, sending our jobs to other countries?
Is that why the politicians refuse to do anything illegal immigration?
Are they trying to turn America into a billionaires' dream world?
Who do the politicians work for, a few billionaires, or the other 300,000,000 Americans?
What the next President should do:
1- Cancel NAFTA and CAFTA.
2- Change China's trading status, require them to buy as many of our products as we do of theirs.
3- Increase the minimum wage to $10.00 per hour.
4- Shorten the work week to 32 hours, four days of eight hours. This will create 25% more jobs.
5- Double pay for overtime.
6- Require that health insurance be made available to all employees.
7- Require severe fines and jail time for anyone hiring illegal immigrants.
