| Where's SO4 Part 2?+MHFU 3* tips |
Anyone who still reads my blog may wonder why I updated with PSP Go instead of SO4. Like I said, I forgot. Therefore, I need to find the game again before I continue rating it. whyoops.
Now, on to some gaming tips! Today, I'll cover Monster Hunter Freedom Unite rank 3 bosses! Rank 4 will come as soon as I figure out how to defeat A certain... one-horned monster? If you know who I mean? has a two-horned bro?:
3* notes: this rank opens up two new areas: Swamp and Hills. Swamp is poisonous at night, and Hills has a lot of uneven terrain.I would, however, swap Mountain with Hills in order of area finding.
Daimyo Hermitaur
Weapon: fire/thunder Impact
Noteworthy attacks: Water beam, jumping, burrowing
Locations: Desert and Jungle
Breakables:Shell
Rage/weak: Bubbles/purple bubbles
Notes: Man, this guy is EASY! all you have to do is stay behind him and bash him with the weapon! You can get a bonus for breaking the skull on his back, wich is so hard it can be broken TWICE. Good way to get some 4* wyvern head parts easily. Remember this skull, it will come up later. His armor and weapons are just belo0w Khezu's, but he's much easier and more entertaining to farm.
For Gunners: This could be difficult. I reccomend aiming at his face, but not long enough for him to beam you.
Plesioth
Weapon: Yet to experiment with close range weapons. Stick with a heavy bowgun.
Noteworthy attacks: percision Water laser, giant tail slap
Locations: Desert and Jungle
Breakables: unknown (fins?)
Rage/weak: foams at mouth
Notes: ... and now for something completely different: A very hard boss. This guy isn't as much hard, just incredibly tedious. It's hard if you go close, it's tedious if you go ranged. Unlike Khezu, who can jump on platforms while electrified to counter staying high, Plesioth has no such move. If you get the area with the cliff, you're safe. If not, practice rolling. Plesioth only appears in areas with water. Overall, keep distance and height.
For Blademasters: All I can say is to tyy and roll against the tail. But good luck hitting him from down there!
Gypercos
Weapon: fire Impact
Noteworthy attacks: pecking (steal), Poison breath, Light blast, play dead
Locations: Swamp and Jungle
Breakables: Lightcrystal (prevents light blast)
Rage/Weak: eye color changes, crystal flashes/limps
Notes: Before I start, a word of warning: this creature acts drunk throughout the whole fight. seriously: he wobbles around, he spins around in a drunken manner, he pukes poison on you, and halfway he'll fall down drunkily unconcious! What you should do is break his lightcrystal. Great, it just got a lot easier. There's an oppertunity for a drop item: when he falls unconcious, either hit him with a rock or send your kitty in.
For Gunners: Aim at his head with explosive rounds! It will make life a lot easier! Pack Pierce and fire as well.
Blangonga
Weapon: Fire
Noteworthy attacks: Blango call, ice throw
Location: Mountains
Breakables: Fangs (Fire)
Rage/weak: Unknown
Notes: Now for the rank boss, and boy is he a doozy. Imagine Congalala on drugs. He's hard to hit, but he actually seemed to have lower HP than the other bosses. He's the second guy who can freeze you bu dropping a boulder on your head. The funny thing is, you can get his tasset before you get his other equipment. Heck, it's avaliable by 2*! However, I don't know if there's the Blango helm/Plate/boots. Just kill his face and you'll win! By the way, he has no neck.
For Gunners: Maybe you should consider trying out some close-range weapons. It's a good idea to be a master of all trades in this game anyways...
