I have added some photos to the page of the sculpture garden and ski jump from Oslo so I thought I had better chime in along with the rest of the team.

First of all I have to say that I have never experienced so many kind and generous people in my life.  Everywhere we go we are warmly greeted and treated to all kinds of experiences, tours and meals.  I have had the pleasure of trying many new things such as reindeer, sheep, caviar, goat (brown) cheese and a variety of desserts, beer, wines and liquor.  We have all grown fond of the brown cheese to the point we were each given some as a gift along with a cheese cutter by the Nittedal rotary club.  Not sure if it will pass security at the airport as it looks and feels like a block of plastic explosives...the meals here are very good and we are all struggling to keep our portions down so we can fit into our clothes for the whole trip.  Fortunately we get to go on hikes and walks through the forests every couple of days to help burn off the calories.

I am enjoying the down time from the stresses of daily life at home but miss my family and friends.  The time is flying by quickly but I am able to find the time to look at photos from home of everyone I care about. 

My vocation days have been excellent and I am stunned at how similar the projects and systems are here.  I have talked to an agency installing fiber optics between municipal governments and another who uses the IBM as/400 to support national shipping companies throughout Norway.  I was given a great tour of the museum of science and technology by my host from Nittedal - they are doing some amazing exhibits including one on climate change which required wearing rubber boots because the entire exhibit is flooded with about 4 inches of water. 

My batteries are winding down and so am I...I will post again soon with more photos from Rade next!
