MMM I love me some shade trees

Yes, I understand that yesterday I said I hated walking. I must say that I do feel that way when I am tired and crabby. I was very tired and crabby yesterday.

However, those moments when my adrenaline is running and I don't have anything better to do, I do appreciate a nice walk. I especially enjoy walking on a sidewalk with great big huge shade trees. If I'm lucky, a cool breeze makes it even better. It's a slice of heaven.

The other things I love about walking is seeing all of the different houses. The variety of the architecture is like going through a museum in time. Different houses built in different years. It is a rich texture. So much better than going through tract housing.

I did get in my two miles today and I was happy with that until I realized that if I'm ok with just 2 miles... well what would be the purpose of this blog... oh yeah I remember now.

I think my error is in trying to do it all at one time. I need to break it up in smaller increments.
So far I've got two miles done while at work: my break time and lunch time
Now if I can do 2 miles before work, I would only have to do 1 mile when I get home or maybe 1.5 in the morning and 1.5 when I get home. That sounds fair.

Time wise it would be
30 min before work
10 min break
30 min lunch
10 min break
30 min after work

I think I can work with that.
Wednesday is rest day... yes. I will take a rest day.
