| Why Do We Do the Things That We Do?

|
Here I was sitting down at the computer, surfing through Thoughts one more time, while dinner was just finishing up in the oven. Jim was sitting here patiently waiting for me to walk away so he could jump in front and steal the computer from me.
I got up, finished dinner, he did what I knew he would (signed into thoughts and did a few posts), and then he signed out giving me back the computer (it's a good thing he did ). There I was sitting with a hot dinner in front of me, just asking to be eaten by my tummy.
Of course I know better than to sit in front of the computer and eat over the keyboard, since it almost always ends in disaster, but tonight I thought different. I thought I could be careful and manage to eat like a civilized woman without dropping anything on, across, or down into the keyboard. I couldn't have been so wrong!!
I grabbed my piece of pizza (great home cooking), took my first bite and somehow I managed to drop the piece of pizza across the keyboard!! Now you're probably thinking that can't be that bad, but it was face down, with parmasean cheese over the top, like the small finely grated pieces, and it was made with more sauce than usual, now you can see where I'm going with this can't you?
*SPLAT* all over the keyboard. My first reaction was to say my usual "Oh My God" and then the laughter took over. I thought it was funny. There Jim was sitting beside me thinking, "Oh my God, anything but the keyboard, I need that!" But still all I could do was laugh.
He grabbed some tissues and tried to clean it up, wiping it off the keys very carefully trying to make sure no more chunks of anything got down in between the keys (there is nothing worse than a keyboard caked with food or sticky stuff in it, making the keys stick and hard to press). After my laughter subsided, I grabbed the tissues, stuck my teenie tiny fingers in between the keys and Badda Bing Badda Boom it was all cleaned up, looking like new, ready to type again!!
Thinking back I probably should have let Jim worry about it a bit longer, and sat back and watch him struggle with his man sized fingers to squeeze into those tiny crevices, but I guess I'm just a nice girl like that.
Anyways, I'm sure this is a very random post, but this just goes to prove that simple, weird things really do amuse me and I could turn almost anything into a blog!

Hey, BushGuy here. Thanks for the comment on my new blog attempt. It is encouraging. Funny incident tonight. Pizza on the keys. Still, your topic is a great question. Why DO we do what we do? Well, CYA!

entertaining read - I can picture the scene and feel the fear in Jim as he looked at the keyboard! Must have been good quality cheese to hold together long enough to clean. :)

I can just see you two fighting over the computer.
hehehe!
I am really glad that my husband does not blog...and he has his own computer.
He would not get much time out of me.
I did not pay attention in kindergarten when they taught me to share.
Upbeat entry...funny.
Peace.
