 Missing Vegas
Well, it just hit me tonight how much I am missing Vegas. It was such a great time filled with great people, it's so hard to know that I am back here in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania.

I have never met such wonderful and genuine people as I did when I was in Vegas. Well, going backwards, I still can't believe I was actually in Vegas.....twice.

Last year seemed so unreal, and this year the same. This was only my second time flying, last year being my first and flying was something I didn't think I would ever do because it was a huge fear of mine. It is something I am so glad I did though.

I have read so many people's blogs about Vegas, and a few have commented on how quiet Jim (scotslad) and I are, and that just makes me laugh because if my family heard anyone say that about me they would fall over in shock. The truth is, I guess we can be quiet and shy, but once we're in our comfort zones that couldn't be farther from the truth. It probably didn't help that we were jet lagged and tired from a long day travelling that started at 4 am eastern time and didn't end until 6 pm pacific time. It's hard work travelling through time zones, having flights cancelled, etc. You also have to throw in being tired from late night feedings, diaper changes, and a screaming baby.

I have to admit I didn't know a lot about some of the people going on the trip because I hadn't been around as much lately as I had been at one time, but everyone was just totally awesome. I of course knew Wayne and Linda, Rose, Ben and Valentina, Ryan and Shannon from last year. I knew quite a bit about DifficultSoul and BadlyDrawnStickMan, but the others I didn't know a whole lot about, but my goodness what great people they all are!! If anyone gets the opportunity to meet any of them, go for it. It is something you will not regret!

I just wanted to say thank you to Ben and Valentina. It was a priviledge and an honor to be able to go on the Vegas trip again. It is something that Jim and I will never forget. We owe the world to you both! You are truly wonderful people with a beautiful family.

Thank you to the fellow thoughts members as well for being such great inspiring people. If I get down, all I have to do is think back to Vegas and I get a smile on my face, so thank you all :)

I had a wonderful time too!
Yes, you are more outspoken on line.
Although, your shyness was quite endearing.
It made you even sweeter in my eyes.
I miss Vegas too.......life just seems so ordinary now.
Love&Light dear.

Maybe your "best friends" can sport you a better flight plan next time. Seems kinda sucky to have to face flights at risk of cancellation. You can have Vegas.

Dear Danielle,

It was so nice to see you both again! I hope those days in Las Vegas were relaxing...you deserve it! We wish you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving Day surrounded with love ones. Please keep taking many photos of Taegan, our babies grow up so fast... and share them with us. As for the sleep deprivation, it will get better. I promise! Raising a baby isn't an easy job and you are so young and mature...I'm very proud of you!

I'm also missing Vegas and spending time with all the wonderful people, from thoughts. It was such a pleasure meeting you and Scotslad. I immediately felt comfortable and at ease with both of you. Your genuine caring ways made conversation and our time together most delightful. Thanks for allowing me and my guest to share your breakfast table ... it was a great way to start the day. I hope your flight home went smoothly. My U.S. Airways flight was wonderful ... the plane was new, with slightly wider comfortable leather seats. We landed in Detroit a half hour ahead of schedule. Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving. Peace.

Thanks Valentina, you have such wonderful things to say. I am looking forward to the sleep part lol. You and Ben are wonderful people, thank you so much again.

It was a pleasure meeting you and sharing breakfast with you as well Colorado. Scotslad and I felt comfortable with you as well. Our flights back home went a bit smoother than the ones on the way to Vegas, but US Airways made us mad, but as Roe would say that's another story :)
