- What is this obsession with making lists? I've considered writing a list of things I dislike about lists.
- The house never seems comfortable to me. It's either too hot or too cold, and I'm constantly fiddling with the thermostat. I bet that if I were Goldilocks, the Bears would have been childless.
- The word 'eclectic' has been in vogue for a while now. Before that, if you had varied tastes in anything, you were just weird.
- Billy Joel and Elton John are going to be in concert in Little Rock this November. That's only thirty minutes from where I live. The concert is also on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, which is the first huge weekend of the Christmas shopping season. Since I toil in retail, it's unlikely that I will attend the concert. It seems equally unlikely that I will quit or get fired before then. You never know. I would really like to go.
- It bothered me when I first found out that Rob Halford, the frontman of Judas Priest, was gay. Not because he was gay, but because he had fooled me all of that time wearing leather and chains. Just think what he would have been wearing if he'd been out of the closet.
- I've never owned a pair of leather pants.
- I was the unwilling recipient of a pair of parachute pants, however. From my ex-wife. Accent on the ex.
- They say that MC Hammer blew his first fortune because his touring entourage was so huge. Makes me wonder how Parliament ever made any money. At some of their shows, there were more people on stage than in the audience.
- I saw video footage recently of Mike Reno from the band Loverboy. He of the red leather pants and the bandanas. He's gotten fat. And he wasn't wearing leather pants in the video, either.
- I assume leather stretches. You never see skinny cows.
