| One week to STAGE |
|
Today has been a good day! Ah, I need this. I need a good mental and physical day. We're coming into the final stretch and this is when everything counts. No screwups, no giving up, no melt downs. This is it!
Yesterday hubby and I made it to the gym later in the evening. I worked shoulders and abs. It was actually a pretty good work out. Mentally I was into it. Physically I was strong. And then I finished with 30 minutes of cardio on the stairmill. That kicked my butt too, in a very good way. It was a good work out. No cheats in the diet. All was good.
This morning I woke up did my 30 minutes of cardio and then weighed myself. 102.2. Then I had posing practice. I think that really helped me mentally. There were four of us practicing and there were two guys who were also running through their posing routines. Everyone looks so great! Our trainer says we look stage ready and we still have one week to go! My back is better this time and I actually have a little shoulder going. Still probably not enough compared to others but I know I've improved. So, that's good. We went over our diets and trainings for the last week. Not to sure about that! I had her look over my depletion diet from last time and my last week's schedule. She decided to go more strict this time. She doesn't want to leave anything to chance.
So, the supplements changed to Vitamin C 1500 mg, Vitamin K 100 mg, a multi-vitamin, super dieter's tea and sculpt and cleanse. The cardio got upped to 120 minutes a day from Monday through Wednesday and only 90 minutes on Thursday. Do you know how long that is? Good lord! I'll be on the stair mill for TWO HOURS!!! That'll be tough. And the workouts are circuit training. Basically you do 1 or 2 exercises for each body part. And lastly, the diet gets even easier than before. 6 oz of fish and a cup of asparagus six times a day. NO seasonings, only pure lemon juice. This week is a true test. Its all for that moment on stage. Wow. I can't believe we are almost there. What a ride! So, I need to enjoy my last two days of my regular eating routines. Enjoy my 30 minutes of cardio. Its going to be a rough week. Wish me luck!
Oh! But the bummer that I ran into was my tanning product. Last time we used a product called Dream Tan. And my trainer applied it as if it were an air-brush tan. I thought it looked great but the day of the competition the final coat sort of went on weird and we had a slight green tint on stage. It was a bit odd and the judges made note of it. So my trainer tried Jan Tana and she likes that product better. I purchased a kit from their website and just got it a couple of days ago. Yesterday I applied some to my hand cuz I want to match my foundation to it. Unfortunately the bottle I received is defective. Its supposed to come out like a foam mousse but mine comes out in a liquidy mess and its GREEN! I'm talking dark antique green. So NOT good! My hubby called the company that I ordered it from and left a message. Today at posing practice I showed my trainer and she said its not even the right product. I have Hi-Def Color but it should be On Stage Competition Color. So, hubby left another message with the company. Hopefully I can get the right stuff in time, otherwise, I'm screwed!!
Well, that's the update for now. Things are good. Its just another loop in that figure competing roller coaster ride. If you've been following along you've probably noticed the peaks and valleys. Its crazy. But it'll all be worth it.
Until next time...
