So yesterday on my way to work I saw a car hit a biker.. Or the biker hit the car i should say... anyways the bike had the ride away. So in this intersection there is on lane that is a turn right only then there is the bike lane to the left of that in the street then to the left of that is another lane that you can go straight or turn right also but if you turn right your suppose to yeld to the bikes. Well this lady wasnt paying attention she went to turn and the bike went into the car. The guy went flying over ontop of the ladies car then bounced off the lady I thougth wasnt going to stop but she went about 20 feet and pulled over... AT FIRST I thought the guy was hurt or dead... THEN he just jumped up and threw his arms up in the air like you would if it was a touchdown... SOO me being me yelles TOUCHDOWN! Yeah I know... but he seemed to be okay... so i stood there for about 10 min to make sure they didnt need statements or anything from me because i seem to have been the only other person around that saw what happend... I walked another block to my work and then I hear the sirens for the fire truck, then came the ambulance, and 2 police cars. I believe someone driving by probably called because the guy and girl were just standing there giving out information. Anways, I got to work and started telling "the girls" what happend and we all got into the discussion on how that should not be a bike lane becuase it is a very dagreous place to be riding there is a on ramp for the freeway right there and that is what the 2 lanes were for. But then again I live in a city where they would rather spend 1000's of dollars on art work to put in the middle of the street instead of giving it to our schools that are losing all of the programs because of no funding. I swear sometimes people worry me. Oh well. I just thought I would share my story of what I saw yesterday.

Glad no one was hurt anyway. It can be a frightening experience but Im with you on the mismanagement of funds. Same thing in this city!
