| The Weekly Blurb |
I weighed in at 179.5 this morning, putting me 21.5 pounds away from my starting weight of 201..
Is 21 pounds something to be proud of? Sure, but not when you weighed 172 just 4 mos. ago. It's been quite the struggle for me seemingly, but I've landed here, which I intend to make a home for my weekly blog that I intend to use to discuss my weight loss throughout the previous week.
So let's get to it.. What has this past week been like? Well I weighed in last Sunday at 184. I worked incredibly hard this week with my diet, carbs were restricted to <50 G per day, and I was spot on throughout, not slipping one single time (Until today, of course :p) I got to all of my workouts but one, the workout in which I missed because I had a job interview and then talked myself out of going to the gym because I would "just go later".
But anyways, needless to say I was quite disappointed when I came in at 179 this morning.. I was really thinking that after my first week back on track I would be back at about 173 (because I would lose water retention).
Regardless, I have a tough week ahead after I completely derailed on smores' goldfish and baked crisps today.. Hah, and I had thought I was safe after eating zero candy yesterday.. (Halloween).
1-10 scales (10 being best)
Week in review -
Diet: 7 (excellent until today)
Workouts: 5 (missed one workout, no cardio)
Motivational tool (the week in review): 6. I feel like this was overall a good week to start things off. I'll look to improve a few aspects this week, tweak a few things out, and move on.
Things to look to improve for next week:
Drinking more water
Doing cardio religiously, at least 30 min per day
Not having a BAD day or even a cheat meal.. All foods have a place in a diet, you just need to find the right place and not go overboard with them.
Weekly Words Of Wisdom - Restriction only builds suspense to a bigger, more destructive meltdown.. Value indulgences, learn moderation, achieve your goals quicker, easier, and more enjoyably.
'Recipe' of the week - A twist on an american favorites, try this one. "turkey in a blanket" Go to your local grocery store and pick yourself up some Joseph's pita wraps with 4g net carbs (6g protein, 2g fat, 4g fiber), turkey kielbasa (6g fat, 2g carbs, 10g protein) OR turkey hotdogs (.5g fat, 3g carbs, 5g protein) , and a bottle of reduced sugar ketchup (1g sugar). microwave 1/2 of a kielbasa/hot dog for about 30-40 seconds, remove, wrap in a pita wrap, an microwave another 30 seconds. Top with ketchup &/or mustard and enjoy.
Goal weight for next week - 174.. at 179 this morning, probably at 184 tomorrow morning (after today), but will not look at the scale.
