 My St Jude Medal
I always wear a St. Jude Medal around my neck. It is Jordan's. She lent it to me because I was having so much trouble. It was blessed by the Parish Priest where we attend here in Louisville, The Cathedral of the Assumption. You can feel the power in it.

I never take it off. I feel a seal of protection all around me. I have faith in all the things I pray for.

St. Jude Thaddeus is the saint for lost causes. His feast day is October 28th. The following information is found in "Saintly Advice," a prayer for every problem, produced by The Philip Lief Group, Inc. This edition published in 2004 exclulsively for Barnes & Noble, Inc., by Andrews McMeel Publishing.
Jude's father was a martyr. His mother stood at the
foot of the Cross. She helped anoint Christ's body after
his death. He was the nephew of Mary and Joseph. They
say he looked very much like his cousin Jesus. His patro-
nage of impossible causes comes from confusion because
early Christians prayed for Judas' help and not to Jude
Thaddeus, devotion to Jude was "a lost cause." Jude was
killed with a club and beheaded in Persia during the first
century. His relics were distributed in France and Rome.

Catholics wear medals blessed by Priests. The medals are of saints that help them, that are special to them. They give the wearer strength. These are the ones they ask to pray for them. The medals help them with their faith.

It helps them know God is watching over them. When their earthly pilgrimmage is over they will be with God, their loved ones including their animal babies that have gone before them.

It doesn't mean that when they are on earth bad things won't happen to them. But when they pass into the next life there is hope for the future.
