Unwanted Family
I was sitting at the dining room table last night and I started writing this.  I know I have written about my grandma & Bill (grams husband) before.  I just had some other stuff I had to get off my chest.  So here goes...

My grams has everything on the table labeled that belongs to her and Bill.  We discussed the buying of paper products.  Some we are buying and using as our on and some we are sharing the cost.  I give her money each month to live here.  I don't expect to live here for free.  She won't let me help her with anything.  She was fixing the door knob on my door and I offered to help and told her I had some experience in that area.  She proceeded to rudely explain how she had 40 years experience & didn't need any help.  She will screw in something on the back door that she can barely reach while I am standing right beside her, offering to help.  I don't understand.

She treats Bill, her daugher(my mom), & me as though we are children.  She emasculates her husband all the time and in front of us.  He has pre-alzheimer's and she treats him like crap orders him around.

She tries to be all sneaky hiding her garbage bags.  I didn't even know this was an issue to her because she's never said anything about it.  She waits until we're gone and then changes her garbage.  I can tell the bags are different because her's have words on them.  She puts the words against the wall.  The can in the kitchen gets moved around so that's how I noticed it.  She's hording a bunch of things in Bill's room she doesn't want us to use.  It just seems so crazy.

Also until I came here I never heard the words dog crap and cop in the same sentence.   Apparently before we came here there was some dispute about dog crap in someones yard.  Her and another lady and someone else who had the culprit and the police were called.  Can you believe that.  If you called the cops in Tampa and told them your neighbors dog craped in your yard you'd probably get laughed at and hung up on.  They have different priorities here.  Since we've been here she has argued with another lady whose dog crapped in our yard and had words with her.  The other day she went outside checking her yard for dog crap because someone was sitting outside in their yard with their dog.  She even became enraged because the mailman(not our regular man) exited the yard in a way she did not approve of and yelled at him.  Can you imagine yelling at your mailman?  I mean the dude can put your mail anywhere.  Now mysteriously our big garbage can has disappeared.  She thinks some black family down the street took it.  I explained her racism in my last blog.  My theory is the someone she has pissed off took it.  Maybe for dog crap.

I have been waiting for a flaming package to appear on out door but so far nothing has come.  Do they still do that?

I hope ya'll don't find a flaming package at your door. she sounds as nuts as my mom.

Oh well what to do, what to do.

I would say like we do, at my house ignore her. If at all possible!!!!

Sometimes its just not possible.

Keep venting here, it does help.

There is the possiblity that with your grandmother hidings things, etc., that she may also be heading into alzheimer's, as well. It sounds like an emotional roller coaster you're on, but, 'Greenersky' is right!....try to be patient with them and hang in there! Wishing you the best! :)
