Religion – So What?
By: Expressing My Thoughts

Some say the glass is half full; some say the glass is half empty. I say who cares? Regardless half is there and half isn't. Some say why don't you praise God or follow the teachings of Jesus?

A. How do I know God exists and if he did create us, he just stepped back and let us corrupt and kill each other. Some say this is so we can be free and can do what we want. I say ok so he made us and left us, like a dead beat dad. If you don't blame him for the evil being done on this earth, then you can't give him credit for the "miracles."

B. The Bible you hypnotized hypocrites cherish so much wasn't written by God or Jesus. It was written by normal people, the same species that lies and cheats to climb the ladder of success just to sit there until they die and their memory fades off. Some say humans are just shadows of each other. These stories weren't made while Jesus was alive, it was written many years after his death, it was all written quotes they remembered by memory. Of course it must have been all written by memory because the bible is the most contradicting book made and there are so many contradictions in it on what happened and what was said. Hey maybe they couldn't remember or they didn't have this fable completely together.

Stories of a lady becoming pregnant without having sex? Jesus coming back to life after death? A dead man coming back to life?.... all these stories were retold by his disciples, the same disciples that denied him, and one that sold him for pieces of silver.
The church tells you not to have a materialistic mind state and I respect that, but not from a hypocritical organization. Where their priests take a vow of poverty and give up all their possessions so they can get closer to God, but then move higher in the church by how much money the make the church?! By having people make donations, putting the church in their wills, and etc. McDonalds and the Church own the most property around the world. Places such as the Vatican has several priceless works of art and the building is made of the most expensive materials when it was built, materials that would cost even more of a fortune to build today than it did back then. The Pope and the Cardinals are living this high class lifestyle and are surrounded by priceless works of arts, and they want us to help the poor?!
What's wrong with them donating a portion of the rich Church's money to help out the needy, or sell some works of art. Because we should take care of the children of God and not worry about our material possessions, right? I don't need a book, "son of God," or any of that stuff to tell me how to live and neither should anyone else. I don't understand why people obsess over religions, if you keep your head in a book full of lies your whole life by the time you take your head out of that book you noticed you wasted your whole life following the wrong path. The right path is your own.
I see religion all as the same concept with different directions on how to follow it. I also see it as a fairy tale like Santa Claus to keep people in line, busy, and oblivious to what's really going on around you. If you be good year round you get presents for Christmas, if you follow the teachings of Jesus you will go to the Kingdom of Heaven. If you're bad then you get coal for Christmas, and if you don't accept God you go to Hell? They say Heaven is the place of perfection where you are at peace, but I like to relate Heaven to happiness, as to this quote….
"Happiness comes along the road,
Not at the end."

i agree with you on one thing - the Church is screwed up
i am a Christian but i really don't want to be associated with a most of the Church's out there. the church i go to is decent but far from perfect, The church should be the poorest organization in the world.

I'm not part of any denomination, but why doesn't any of the bible thumpers on this site argue against everything this blog represents. Do they not have an explanation for what this blog says? Maybe they are just following their religion blindly and have never questioned it...This always sparks my curiosity....If you believe in god and your respective denomination with all conviction, then why don't you defend it?

To "NovcWrtr2008" I hear ya, yea this was just my views on how The Church is hypocitical and I don't think anyone should follow thier leader or religion blindly cause we should always question authority. For example Hitler talking about his followers said in his own words "Thank God people can't think." So never blindly follow!

He gave us free choice from the begining and it was our choice(each human) to decide what they wanted to do with there life. Eve tempted Adam to eat the tree from the forbidden tree, the very first sin, that let curse on each, allowing disease, sin, poverty, death ...so on to occur.
Nothing bad in the world is because of God, but God uses the bad to make good.

The actual stories in the bible are very similar, and they dont actually "contradict" each other at all, maybe you need to do some further research.

i agree the disiples made a lot of bad choices, but so do you, and so do i as well as everyone else in the world.

when you say the church, i see your talking about the Catholic church, im a Christian, and our tithe goes into the church and then in to charies, appoximatly 80% of it! But not everyone know that. Im sure the Catholic church does very similar.

check out this video and try to explain that "fairy tale"

there is two parts, and they are the frist and second videos that come up.

Your taking things out of context.

First of all the thing about Adam and Eve is a cute story, but biologically it's impossible to start a whole race with only two people, if you don't believe me you can research into that. And I wasn't pointing at God neither affects the bad or good, that's why I said don't blaim him on the miracles or destruction.

The actual stories are contradicting and if you did your research you would have seen all the errors. This is a list of probably 140ish contradictions and there are more but don't really feel like looking into it, but I agree with overall message regardless of the scripture, that's why I described it as a story a parent would tell a kid to have them act morally.

As for the video I did like it, don't think I'm anti-God, I'm just saying there's no hard evidence or a life after death. There has been theories about these demons though, there's also proof like this about aliens and haunted places.

I don't know if I completely agree with the video of a ex-junkie talking about 11 demons beening in her, but she might have been possessed by only one. There are also stories like this about other religions, so do you believe in Alluh or Buddah? Anyways I believe in the evil and the good, but no proof that the good is God, maybe these spirits just leave when feel being from a good force not just to the word God.

Anyways this isn't a piece saying God isn't real, that Jesus isn't a Messiah. It was a piece written to mock the commercailized religion it has turned into, and that the Bible so many people cherish as if it was thier life support to ease off it and just take the message and look for answers from yourself not always just refering to a book that was written too long ago. I'm sure that the Catholic Church makes donations of course, but they still own the most property around the world, and of course still surrond the highest in the church with priceless and very expensive materials and place. So I was saying high live such a lavish lifestyle when can give it up to contribute towards helping out the needy.
