My stand point on this subject is neither pro-choice or pro-life. When a person lets the thought of abortion enter their mind; nine times out of ten their mind is made up. Also I would only try to persuade such a choice if it directly affected me. (i.e. If I was the father) But if your mind is set on trying I would say try to show them how much better their life could be with a child. Don't let them dwell on what could go wrong and only let them see what could be right.

i am pro-choice. if a person decides to hav an abortion, it is their choice. and if you just want to help them, let them know, and educate them on the topic. some people decide to get abortions without thinking about how it will affect them or the people around them. and dont point out the negatives of getting an abortion, just show them the positives of keeping a child. and let them know that you care and you want to help them. :)

I wouldn't pursuade them. It's none of my business,it's nobody's business but the woman. It's her body and her life. The person trying to pursuade her is not going to help her out if she kept it,they're not going to babysit and help with bills and etc...I think people should live and let live.If a woman choses to have an abortion that's her right. And no protester or god-lover or anyone for that matter should be in her face or in her ear telling her what to do otherwise with her body and life.Stay out of it and worry about your own life..Nobody's perfect.Nobody.

Hmmm . . . I would tell them what I thought about the situation and try to help them see which option would work best for them. But ultimately it is her decision, nobody elses.

it really depends on the situation, being healthy- if having a baby could mean fatal for the mother; financial stability- i'm from a third world country, having 2or3 children is fine but if you keep on reproducing that you can no longer support them is not good; another big question is in your state of life "are you ready to raise a baby?"

i would never take that decision and persuade someone, I have 3 beautiful kids at 23, my sis has 1 boy who is a miracle baby, she gets atopic pregnancies and cannot bare children, it really all depends ont he type of situation they are in.

Yeah I would definitely focus on the positive. Sometime I hear people discuss their beliefs and I wonder how they would actually treat someone in the situation.

I wouldnt try to peruade someone...All you can really do is point out other options...Like giving the child up for adoption. Also once someone has a baby who was planing on giving it up, may not be able to afterwards and try and keep it even if they cant take care of it...and that could turn out even worse for her and he baby. We dont really know the conditions of the conception or the condition she is in. If she is older the baby could have birth defects or the possibility of a stillborn. If she is not in the best of health, it could be a danger to her life and even to the baby anyway.
All you can do, all you should do...Is try to show her other ways but don't try and be persuading...Simply informative and then help her through whatever choice she makes.
