I have been writing as a forum to express myself since about the 9th grade. Just so that you know that is about 22 years. It seems to me that my negative experiences are the inspiration that leads to most of my writings. I have allowed friends to read my works, but I have never posted on a forum such as thoughts.com.

As a Soldier of 19 years, my experiences have been dramatic, frightening, exhilarating, a joy to my life and also a bane to my existence!

I have not written an article, (out side my military newsletter) for about two years. I will start with one of my favorites and see where it leads me from there.

As I begin, I will attempt to create some new writings with more positive and upbeat feelings, but as I have spent the past 13 months at war in Iraq, with 2 more months remaining I may find it difficult.
