My friends- I can promise that my words above come straight from the heart. I have lived this life for over 1/2 of my entire life... I am just trying to draw out the reality of the situation in hopes that it will be used to better help make a life altering decision for more than just the young man with this burden upon his shoulders...

wow.. just finished a run, and this stopped me dead in my sweating. Eyes wide opened trying to muster words.. .. ... .. especially because I have no idea what it's like to be in the services, but through your words, I may have an inkling.. may.

peace to you. xx

As always beautiful words, very obviously direct from your heart. I'm so glad you have this place to share such wisdom, where it is so obviously appreciated. E x

Beautiful words, E. One's that make you stop...take a breath and really let them sink into your soul. Hope you're well my friend.

Very well said Mr. E. Haven't been on here much as of late. Hope everything is going well with your job and you have gotten into a civilian routine. Take care my friend.

No wonder it's hard to adjust back to civilian life. Having been there, done all that, your life was completely reconfigured... but then you had people to "teach" you how to adjust, and going back, you're on your own.

Friends,

Thank you for your thoughtful comments on this essay of sorts. This is just my way of giving a young man who is preparing for the rest of his life, a chance to hear the reality of the situation he is getting himself into, while letting his beautiful soul of a grandmother know that her grandson is not taking this lightly, he knows she loves him and needs her unwavering support...

i am a young man writing to you as a young man. i may not write with the words of wisdom, i may not act with the thought of age and time, but i do say with my heart and soul as you do. i have thought this decision through as many times as i could and then some more each and every night since i had made my mind i have prayed that it be the right one. and after reading this i feel even more comfortable and frightened with my choice, more comfortable because i feel it is not a task that will be so impossible, and even more frightened because i have a friend that has decided to join with me and i could never bier the thought of loosing him he is the only person i have come to trust my entire life. and again i know that at heart if i were and or will loose a friend or many they will always be in my heart and it will not be for fame or glory i would continue but i would continue knowing they would be there with me in my heart and soul, along with all the other fallen hero's. i would like to thank you for your support and i do hope you read this with the UT-most thought.
from a young boy to a wise man i say "much love, it's what the world needs"

And I do love you for your choices, bravery and conviction. Good Luck and if ever you need someone to listen, you know where to find me...

Peace my friend...

Words cannot express the depth of my gratitude. The attention and concern you have offered my young man is beyond kind. Thank you dear one.

My words are from a lifetime of experiance inside the military. It is all I know, that I could have said. It sounds to me like your young man has a damn good head on his shoulders and he will go far in anything he does, military or otherwise...

Always...
