 Days 33 & 34
So as I near the end of my rotation it's getting harder and harder to make regular posts.  I think these past two days I've been busier than I've been any two days during my entire time here.  Everyone is pushing through until Tuesday and of course I am too.  I don't know if I'm more excited to be going home or that busy season is coming to a close yet again.  I know I will still be "busy" after busy season with all those things that didn't get done or were extended, but it shouldn't require the late nights and weekends that it did while I was here and before I left ATL to come here.  Also, I've been working on and planning for my last couple of days here.  I'm taking my team out to dinner tomorrow night as a thank you.  Since my team is part of the national group that is led by one person here in India, they don't often get the opportunity to be taken out to dinner or thanked like my staff in the US are...or at least like I try to thank my US staff. So dinner tomorrow night is an effort at showing my appreciation and the appreciation of all of the US offices that have been helped by my team.  Sure it's their job and they get paid for it, but it's always nice when hard work is acknowledged, especially after a paticularly difficult project or deadline.  I hope that our being gone for a few hours doesn't cause the US any heartache.  My partner is backing me, so I'm not too worried, but I just know that back in ATL everyone is still slammed and I can't help but feel a little bad about that...but hey, I'm the one who sacrificed to come here so they didn't have to.  I say sacrifice and it has been paticularly on a personal level, but don't get me wrong, it's been a great experience too and not one that I would willingly give up.  So, I guess this post is kind of a reflection...or just an excuse to ramble=)  In preparing for my trip home I've been buying a few gifts here and there and making sure that I stay on top of my laundry so that everything will be ready to be packed on Sunday night.  I'm leaving Saturday morning to go to Mumbai to visit with the in-laws one more time before I journey back half-way around the world.  It will be a quick trip, but it will be nice to spend a little more time with them before I go.  I will return from Mumbai hopefully on the last Indian Airlines flight on Sunday evening.  I am supposed to land aournd 8 pm.  The airport is about 1.5 hours from my hotel, mostly because they built the new, fancy airport and now they are working on the roads that lead to the airport.  Does that seem slightly backwards to anyone else?  So anyways, that's life lately...I really can't wait to be home!
