| NaNoWriMo, Almost Forgot!! |
Holy NaNoWriMo! I almost forgot about the November National Novel Writing Month challenge!! It started 1 November and goes until 30 November! Write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days! It's not too late, I joined an hour ago!
It's crazy, it's insane and you can do it! Write that book you've always said you'd write and don't worry about content, grammar, dialogue, plot, character development, nada! Just WRITE! Most of us don't know what we're doing!
We will all edit in December! Most of us will write crappy prose, make tons of mistakes, BUT we'll have written a novel in one month! No one will view your work, it's for you and only you unless you choose to share it with other people taking 2009's challenge! It's up to you!
Even if you're working on another novel, poetry, do it! Something might be unleashed in the writing of this one that might just solve a problem in the first one! You just never know!
I dare ya. I double dog dare ya :) Google NaNoWriMo and sign up! Write your bio, add your pic if you desire, think of a title quickly (you can always change later, who cares?!) and start to write!
I started today! The title of my novel is Finding Grace. It's a contemporary mystery about international cults of which I know a thing or two about. The heroine is Ava and her mother was named Grace. Grace is found dead in Belgium and Ava's search takes her to France. Sound familiar?! LOL!
I won't tell ya any more than that, must keep writing and counting words!
Please consider this awesome challenge and call yourself a NOVELIST on 1 December! How freaking awesome is that?! Just write what you know, have always wanted to know or know absolutely nothing about! It doesn't matter :) just write.
I'm excited for you, can't ya tell?! I don't think I've EVER friggin' used so many exclamation points in one blog in my life! LOL!
