Hello! It's a grey Saturday, but it's not cold which is nice. The windows are open and a warm breeze is coming through, it feels great. I've decided on an editing Saturday and I'm a bit stuck on two issues. I'll tell you in a bit what I'm in need of...
The synchronicity of a couple of days ago when I had a lightbulb moment continues! I was talking with my daughter H about it and her friend S came to my mind. S is a college friend of H's and she graduated with a degree in English Literature. According to my daughter, S recently finished a two-year memoire project with an older gentleman and is hostessing until full-time work comes along. I asked H if she thought her friend would be interested in helping and she said yes!
I called S this morning and she has agreed to read my manuscript and edit it (this is my second edit, btw). I am dropping off the manuscript on Monday around noon :) I'm very happy about this development and excited to work with S who we've known since our Brussels days.
Okay, here are the two issues/situations I need help with:
1. I need a person who has lived through a hurricane to give me words, impressions, sights, sounds and smells of what it's like to go through that experience.
2. I need a midwife or a doula to answer some childbirth questions I have. Ideally, I'd like someone who is their late 60s or older who has information on old timey methods and/or rural country life.
I've obviously done my research, read the books, seen the videos on hurricanes, but that is not as great as first hand knowledge.
Thank you in advance! If you can't personally help me, perhaps you could give me some info, a book title, a website or a person I could get in touch with.
THANK YOU!!
Peace and love.
