 I Survived ...

Another night in the pit of hell...totally amazing. Well I did get pinned again (no surprise there) and asigned yet another supervisor. Really is it any wonder that the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing there?

So I am making a reservation for a show and I get an error message. I put up my cup and over comes the supervisor (mind you only because she is sitting right across from me and cannot really ignore me). She manages to wipe out all the info I have typed in and then looks at me like I am stupid ... WTF? So I have to go through getting all this info back on the screen and she keeps whispering to me to talk to the guest.Ummm excuse me I am not the one that cleared the damn screen. After it is all over she just smiles and walks off like she did her damn job and all was good. Have I said lately just how much I hate West?

Then I tell her I have to go to the restroom and she tells me no.Now mind you I have had to go for more than an hour and it is getting pretty unbearable and i tell her this. She looks at me smiles (I am getting sick of that smile btw. She tells me take one more call and walks away again. She knows full well that "one call" can take anywhere from 30 secs to 15 minutes or more.

Speaking of bathroom breaks they also keep track of those because we have to clock out for them as well. They will pin you if you take what they consider too many bathroom breaks. One guy got a pin for taking 27 bathroom breaks in a month...WTF? being pregnant is not an excuse to take frequent bathroom breaks. Makes me wonder the last time one of them had a baby laying on their bladder. They actually fired a pregnant girl for taking too many bathroom breaks.

It use to be with their pin system that after a month the attendance pins were started over. Now if you are pinned for attendance it is forever as long as you work there. So once you get to 10 no matter how long that takes you will be fired for poor attendance. That is just screwed up no matter how you look at it as I said all they do is set up their employees to fail.

Wow, sounds like a tough mob to work for! Are they even interested in keeping their workers happy and productive rather than living in fear??? I couldn't survive working there with my pea-sized bladder!

NAFTA is alive and working well, isn't it?
The type of management is exactly what our fathers and grandfathers, fought and died for in order to form a union.
Corporations are not human and they are totally unsympathetic to your problems.
Upper management is only concerned with their yearly bonuses and they only answer to the stockholders; which many times, they are themselves large stockholders.
Look at how Iacoca worked his first years for a salary of one dollar per year, but ten million shares of stock.
This is the pattern of every corporation today, if they CEO's don't get millions in cash bonuses, they will gladly take millions in stock holdings.
Now that nafta has been put in place, it's just as Ross Perot said; the sucking sound you just heard were all the good jobs leaving the country.
Now once the jobs created a vacum, then there had to be something to replace them and that is return of slave labor.
This is why China has become such a powerful nation in todays global economy. They practice slave labor and it's not about to change over there.
Your kids are the one's who are really going to suffer, because once China runs out of water to drink and air to breath they will be coming here to take over the U.S. and when they declare war on us: unlike WW1 and WW2 there is no possible way the rest of the world will be able to out produce their manafacturing, and the number of people China will have to put into war, and then you will really know what it is like to be a slave.
If you think that I am spreading propaganda, then maybe you should look at how absolutelt horrible China's enviroment has become.
The comunists there are not going to be able to tolerate for too much longer before it becomes impossible for them to do anything else but to conquer the rest of the world.
Hell not only do they have their own military scientists, we are having them make the technology our owm military uses.
They make almost all the turbine engines for general electric now; "those are the manafacturers that make the turbine engines that power our planes" and companies are jumping on the cheap labor bandwagon for all their industrial needs. This in order to gain a larger profit margin.
So in conclusion, if we the people: (not the government) do not stop and reverse this trend now, then you might as well learn to hold your pee!

Keep their employees happy? Oh now when you sign on and all through your training they will tell you they care. They will tell you that you are so very important to them. They go on an on about how they couldn't do it without you. They tell you how it is fun place to work....blah, blah, blah. Then they get you out onto the work floor and BAM!!!!! they smack you between the eyes with a sledge hammer. No they don't care at all about us or our happiness or if we do a good job or not they know they have masses of unknowing people out there lining up for the slaughter. Which is why I started this blog if i can stop anyone from going there for a job it will be worth it.

I think they are already at West. I am treated worse than a slave as is everyone that doesn't have their noses firmly planted in the bosses ass. I am nearly ready to take a cut in pay just to get the hell out of there. Vallero seems like paradise now compared to West. At least there I knew what my job was everyday and I was treated like a human being.
