What is it that Guys Do??

When I am upset about something, or feeling blue I rally the committee and talk.

When I'm confused and maybe a tad emotional I call a hearing, which sometimes consists of several phone calls, some text messages and occassionally a face to face meeting over coffee or a latte.

I also have a sub-committee who are in my innner circle of friends who are sort of on-call.

They are available if the head-committee members are busy, unavailable or dealing with their own decision making events.

Anyway I can discuss ANYTHING with these people, which I was told on one occassion sends shock waves through some men.

Of course there are different levels of committee.
Some you know you can tell ALL to, even discuss taboo subjects with.
Others you know have a different threshold of topics you can cover.

But what I'm wondering is ....
WHO do guys discuss things with?
I don't mean their conversations where they regurgitate the same event over and over again. Usually when intoxicated.

I mean when they are not sure what to do about something.

When they've had an argument with their girlfriend/partner.
When their boss is on their butt - who do they talk to??

Or is it really true that they keep it to themselves?
Do they stew on it - especially when it is you they are arguing with?
They let us go off in a huff,
we talk to our committee and get the
right answer... and they just watch TV??
While we do all the work??

Or .......

Do Men have their own Secret Committee?
Do you guys have a "mate" that you call?

The one that you trust with your deepest "guy" secrets?

Will you guys even admit to having secrets?

Do you call him up in private when we are not there and
get the low-down on what to do?

I'm wondering if any of you guys will spill on the

SECRET MEN's BUSINESS

They have an argument with their girlfriend, expect it to get alright, and just watch tv or something. I dont know. I dont get that part of guys!!

		My hubby usaully act as if the fight we had doesn't matter after it.I hate that.Heck if they fight with their girlfriend, all they want is"make-up sex" and then the troubles are over....Wish we women could do that...lol

		Geez Easy! Shhhh! We're not supposed to let on that men confuse us!! WE'RE supposed to be the mysterious ones!! It's right there on page 45 in the Mysterious Women's Secret Handbook! See? Where is says "Never ever let on that you can't really read their minds."

		BL - it's okay .. it's reverse psychology. They might let their guard down if we "pretend" they confuse us!! :) Oh and I have the Latest version of the handbook and they've added a few extra pages (because of FOTY) and it's now on Page 47 about reading their minds ... just in case there are any newbies on here who only just got the handbook. :) LOL - you're the best!

		maybe they talk about stuff in the bathrooms over the urinals or something...dunno....i've heard guys at work 'talking' and it ain't pretty...boring in fact...all macho and crap...i think men are afraid to let that vulnerable side show and personally i think it shows hes a real man....love you easy k

		I think this will be a future blog topic for me. Do women really want to see the vulnerable side of a man? When I lose control of my emotions it's ugly. Do women really want to see that?

		men compete. women network. men only talk problems if looking for solutions. women talk and that IS the solution. you don't understand because you have a network in place. we eat our emotions. that's why we die first and act so stupid. cuz we think we are fighting on our own. you are as confusing to us as we are to you. we just don't have a quilting bee where we can talk stuff out.

		Awesome post, Easy! I often wondered myself who guys go to when they need advice or when they are upset, angry etc. Whether they go to anyone at all or just let it stew in their heads.

		E2S............info, trying to catch up on all your older blogs.....and this one caught my attention..... Do Men have their own Secret Committee?............NST ( no such thing) Do you guys have a "mate" that you call?...........NMC (no mate calling) Will you guys even admit to having secrets?........Never...Male Code!! We all have secerts but men tend to work things out themselves, maybe that is why we all keep making the same mistakes!!
