I asked one of my male friends about this phenomenon and his explanation is that an older woman is more often than not is sexually experienced, coming out of a relationship (usually a broken marriage) they are more likely to be looking for sex as a method of validation...they're still worth wanting. The young guys are out for sex basically. Have no idea how right or wrong he is. I did also say that there are young guys who are genuine in their interest. Luck finding Mr Right, Easy. =)

Funny how it is accepted that an older male be with a younger woman and yet still there is a stigma surrounding older woman with younger guy. I prefer older men...

I think we should change your name to the Delete Mistress. Just kidding. I would have deleted them too. I've had relationships with men younger than me. But never that much younger, 3 maybe 4 years. And you already have 2 kids and I can see where you don't want another. Men in general are pretty inmature anyway.

Easy... I can not speak for all men I can only tell you my thoughts.
When I was in my 20's and looking I did look tword an older crowd, You already know who you are for the most part, you have been through all the games and most are ready to just be... not going to compete... some girls at the time I was in my early 20's was all about the clubs, the parties, and the stuff... the more stuff they got the better. For me about was about finding someone who was a bit more settled down and mature. and ummm... you can blame the term "MILF" all you want lol but it does not stop you from geing in that catagory... you are an extreemly attractive woman who is active and has a good head on her shoulders. Your going to attract all kinds.... Good luck finding the kind your looking for....

I am sure there are some sincere younger guys out there, and if they got to know you, I think they would consider a longer term relationship. Many want to experience sex without the huge investment a girl their own age expects. Many middle aged ladies ( And please let me be emphatic here, you have years to go before you would fall into that category – phew), might enjoy the sexual gratification that may come (pun not intended) with a much younger – no strings attached boy.

This is a reoccurring theme with you so – I am at a loss for further counsel on this subject. As for me if I were single - age would be irrelevant, a good knowledge of Shakespeare and a love of literature and maybe law… on the other hand as someone once said you’re only as young as the woman you feel..? Seems the trend these days with both younger males and females are seeking out older people to date for what ever reason. Some for sexual experiences, some for security reasons or just because they don't like the childish attitude of people there own ages it appears.

What ever the reason I am just happy that I don't have to worry about dating anymore.

1) either they think older women are desperate and therefore easy, or 2) they think older women are easy and they are desperate. tuh-duh!

This subject is quite popular of late. Here in the states, there's a new reality dating show featuring a cougar (woman in her 40's) and her cubs (men in their 20's). I think it stems from a study done regarding sex drives. Men peak much earlier than woman. Looking at things from a purely biological standpoint, the sex drive of a 40 year old woman matches perfectly with that of a man in his 20's. All I can say is Mother Nature seems to have a sense of humor. Peace.

You watch a story where a 24 year old teacher is having an affair with a 16 year old student of the opposite gender(say that so that the next part is shorter).
Make the student a female and the teacher is a creep and prev to all that read that story
Make the student a male and most men will have a lil feeling of wishing they were the kid.
Once read that men, more than women, get their sexual turn ons, the things that will make them hot, their "buttons" early in life. Something as insignificant as your mom breastfed you in her bedroom in a chair that somehow faced the shoe closet could make you into women's feet. So maybe this thing that young men have for older women comes from there and as weird as this sounds, you are mom or an aunt and they do not even know it themselves.
I never had the older women thing, but that may come from that the fact I was taught by nuns as a kid so the hot young teacher was not really a possibilty for the most part.

I think that some men become frustrated with women there age because they have not had much luck with women in general, so they turn to the older crowd in hopes that they will meet someone who is much wiser and experienced.

I prefer older men, and I think on the man side the majority of men prefer older women also. Plus just because you are older does not mean that your not hot any more. I think us women find ourselves less attractive as we age. I know I do but really I think it is more because I do not have much time to spend on pampering myself like I did when I was younger.

Hope you find what your looking for. I think thirty five would be a great age for you. You act like your twenty nine through thirty five. You might wanna find someone who acts as young as you. Good luck :P

I love to look at younger men - I admire them and nothing beats a neat bum BUT give me an older man anytime when it comes to entertaining me intellectually. I'm not saying young men can't, of course they can, but I have so much experience behind me and I want to meet on an equal level. I think the above says it all.

Well I don't believe in RULES too much, at least when they are thought of as directives in capital letters. Here I think that it makes a lot of sense for older women to date younger men as older men date or attempt to date younger women (it's not a given an older guy is having big success even if he is seen with a younger girl all the time!). But there is this advantage it strikes me from a male perspective...young guys can't control themselves, they are just too horney and continually insistent. Young women are frequently very uncomfortable around sex in my opinion, and can handle being around an older guy much more easily, because, if ever, this is the time he will have learned control and patience. From the other side, an older woman, again, if ever, now she is going to be more confident in herself and not destructively self-conscious, and more capable than a younger woman of enjoying a purely sexual encounter with that younger man. But back to rules...I see these things as tendencies that may apply and if they do to two people, then there is merit in two versions of younger older.
