Master 5 is not a big fan of drawing at Kinder.
He hardly ever brings home artwork.
He is your typical boy.
He likes to build, play with the cars, construct things at the tables, occasionally he will play with the playdoh.
But very rarely does he bring home things that he's done using paint, crayon or texta.
So when he does I pay attention.
We usually sit down and I get him to tell me what he's drawn or painted.
Lately it seems he's been doing a lot more drawing/painting.
Just the other day he drew a picture of "Indianna Jones and his whip".
He told me that, and I knew because the Kinder teacher had written his words at the bottom of the picture.
The next time he brought home a drawing it was of Darth Maul (sp?) from Star Wars.
We sat down, he explained who it was and what he was doing.
Then I noticed a cross inside a box in the upper left hand of the picture.
"What's this?" I asked him curiously.
"Oh that's the cross that you click on if you want to use Darth Maul."
"Use him?" I questioned.
"Yes, you know Mum. Use him in the game."
"Oh, what game?" I asked.
"Mummmm, on the Wii of course." He answered clicking his tongue and rolling his eyes.
Ooops I thought to myself. Maybe he plays the Wii and Star Wars a little too much, especially if he's drawing the on -screen icons!
"Let's go out and ride bikes tonight." I said to him as we pinned his drawing on the wall.
Easy .... eeek ... out
