Louis - Great idea ... a note book or something not to heavy is a more economic way to keep postage weight (costs) to a minimum.. and the photo would go on the blog somewhere right? What we should probably do with this is move the details into a FORUM page(?) where it wont expire and disappear into the blog funnel! :)

GREAT IDEA,Hon! Just be sure he's under 6'ft.tall,and he can't fly first class.I don't know for sure,but the postage may be a little much for some,but I'm sure all for it.

Truckdrivers years ago when I was driving,would take a young cancer victim's teddy bear,and pass it along at truckstops to another driver.They were to mail a postcard from where they took him,to the young person.It would make that child want to see tommorow,and their treatments that much more bearable.

Well, aren't I just a bunch of sour grapes now;/ I have to confess I am OUT of this idea. I think it sounds great on the outset, but QotD was pretty gung ho from the start too...and had it's slips and bounds. I just don't see the big deal. And, those who come to be more anonymous--ehem--would basically be sticking themselves out like a sore thumb. I'd rather get in touch with those whom I really care to and exchange cultural items that way.

In a way, the idea might be better if it were more like a simple Thoughts suitcase or something...ya know. How the old hard luggage bags get all those tags on them from world travel. But, when you have a bunch of people from one area(like you and Kaybee and KP are practically neighbors)...it seems kinda lame to have 3 Aussie trinkets and passes. I dunno. There's only so many places it can go. I guess if people kept their contributions more personal like an autograph, it might be more special. OOH! What about something like a baseball?:P The baseball that went around the world.

So, sorry to say, I'm out.

But, if you ever wanna do the Christmas card exchange... Or, next time, I may join in the Secret Santa bit.
