The 4th of July is my favorite holiday. I'll bring the sparklers and watermelon. This post reminded me of the song "Independence Day" by Martina McBride. While your situation is not the same as the women in the song (she's in a violent relationship) you share common ground with her as a woman who has been crushed and hurt by a man who promised to love, cherish and keep your heart safe.
