"I'm sorry."
"I know you're sorry. I'm sorry."
He looked into her eyes, longing for the night to start again.
She held his gaze for a few seconds, his kind gentle eyes were her weakness.
Turning away he spoke softly into her ear.
"We could try?"
"We've already tried," she said thinking how much she'd like to do that.
"But I mean ...." he broke off as she pulled herself out of his arms.
"It's not going to work. I'm no good to anyone like this." She sat on the bed and pulled the sheet around her naked body. She looked down at her painted toe nails, tears welling in her eyes.
"Honey you are not broken, you've been treated bad. We can work on this."
"What am I to you? One of your little projects. One of the lost dogs you pick up on the street. I can't be fixed with a shot of something and go on my merry way. I won't be free to a good home. Ever ...."
He took a deep breath, noticing himself naked standing before her.
"I don't think you are a lost dog ..... I've been where you are."
"Well maybe I'm just more fucked up than you then." She spat out.
"Honey," he said softly as he put his arm around her cold naked shoulders.
"I don't want to talk anymore." She said leaning into his warm embrace.
"I am not him..... I will never ever be like him!"
He released his grip on her body, her weight shifting as he did.
He got dressed and walked out the door.

I'm good MissM.... was just in the mood to write something, anything, so just put down what came into my head - weird or not :)

Stormeister - I don't recall that moment on Shallow Hal .. .maybe I should go back and watch it again :)

ok well thats alright then, i didn't rate this before encase you were upset lol and i don't give stars for pain he he
its a great peice honey, i struggle with the conversation parts of my writing so i try to leave them out lol
