 Sunday's leaving too....
After a relaxing night by the fire, what better way to wake up than with two kids in your bed, one with a Nintendo DS, the other with a book!  BOTH fighting for my space. LOL

Great incentive to get up and have breakfast right there!!!

Oh and I've changed from Bat Girl into a MEERKAT for this week's AVATAR (profile pic) theme... click here to read KP's post
- THEMES on THOUGHTS

It was a coolish day with grey clouds challenging the blue sky and sun behind them.  We were going to walk our dog, but the warmth and television (inside) got the better of us three.  Sorry dog!
So instead we enjoyed milkshakes and movies.  Miss 8 decided she needed to make her own lunch ... a vegemite sandwich, now the butter has great big crevices in it!!  Master 5 decided he wanted hot dogs again.  I went with the hot dog option too.

Miss 8 and I started to craft a story... about a witch named Mim! LOL no, not quite the same as I've already released here on thoughts!  When she was settled on the computer, I went and did my weights workout.  Glad to say I've been getting back into this after a few slack weeks.

One dull highlight of the day was when I realised it's bin night.
Which was half okay, we have a 3 bin system here.
Which consists of  an all green wheelie bin which is for general rubbish - goes out weekly.

Then we have a blue lid bin which is recyclable waste,
then there is the Red lid bin which is for garden cuttings and small tree/shrubs
- these two bins alternate each week.

Well this week is RED LID BIN week, now mine was empty.
So I don't have to put it out right?? WRONG!

You see my theory is I have to pay rates which covers the collection of these bins,
so I am a bit "anal" about putting out a full bin or at least half full
- otherwise I feel like I am wasting my money.... crazy right?

So when I realise it is RED lid week, I quickly go outside and start trimming the trees.
It is nearing dark and I start trimming the "bloody" trees! Then I see there are a few roses left that should not have grown after my last prune of them, *chop* off they go.  I even start picking up a few leaves, wet from the recent rain...... I am crazy!!    All so I don't put out an empty bin!

Anyway next I'm back inside, and we have to decide what to have for Tea. Of course the kids want McDonalds... no way! So we debate it for awhile, and can't decide! So what else do you do when you can't decide on Tea??
Well of course you go to the Video Hire store, oh hang on, sorry the DVD Hire store.  We hired a few weeklies, including "HIDALGO" for me, because it has Aragon
from Lord of the Rings(mmm) in it.

Now late for dinner, I make an executive decision and whip up a meal.
Then squeeze in showers and finally ahhhhh bedtime.
So now I sit here relaxing ... where did my week-end go ...

Oh and for those of you in America

HAPPY FATHERS DAY

Okay your bin system is werid,
Bright Green for garden waste and food waste,
Yellow for recycle,
Red for general and as of next week
A small rectangle bin for papers, this one will go out every week.

Going to need a degree soon to work out this bin system.

KP ... haha .. my bin system is weird, Im laughing reading yours, I think yours is just as weird :) and you have 4!!! bad enough having 3 to coordinate.
And most of my court wait until someone else puts out either RED or BLUE so that we get it right! LOL

I was wondering if you celebrated Fathers day and if FOTY would see the kids. I guess you don't. Hope you have a wonderful week.

Gwatlan ... I guess that would be because we are all looked after by different councils... why do the same thing and possibly save us all money, when they can do their own thing and charge us what they like ... lol
Thanks for stopping by :)

It's strange that in the UK we have a different Mothers' day to the USA, but it seems we have the same Fathers' day! Do we share Mothers' Day with you Aussies? (mid March?)

N i miss the crazy bin systems back home! Here, It's all in one bin with no regard for our planet, sigh. I do seperate the plastic and give it to the houseboy to sell, but there are no recycling systems in place, such a shame......

Deepintought - We shared Mothers Day with the USA, but Fathers day nope. So I guess we all share That one, just not fathers day..

btw - I LOVE LOVE your AVATAR, I'm a monkey lover from my holidays in BALI... but I get they might be scary when they "attack" in packs.

Kaz - that's funny, I too start using USA terms ("what a trip") and saying "dinner" instead of Tea.... and just today I mentioned that the Americans were on their Spring/Summer vacation and a guy at work who is dealing with our USA companies looked at me, like how the heck did you know that!!! LOL ... pretty funny how things rub off ! :) Luv Ya Too Sis!

Gwatlan ... My husband did the old fashion rubbish collection for 15 years, and now his body is starting to break down, I wonder if I could ge away with putting him in the bin and getting a new upfated version hmmmmmm. No kidding.

Ohh and asked Husband why the different lids, considering that he is a council worker, and it is apparently so that bins dont get stolen from council to council.
