 Ok I'll admit it I AM A photo-holic
I've read a few blogs in the last two days by people like me!
Yes believe it or not, I am not one of a kind!
Now what I mean when I say that is, that there are others out there who don't just take the odd photo here and there.  There are actually others who take more than one shot of a particular scene.  There are others in here who like me take their camera EVERYWHERE, and take photo's of more than just special occassions.

I read their blogs and loved every word.
That is me!  I take my camera everywhere, I take photo's of anything that I think is interesting or amazing.  I even take photo's of things that others would probably think boring or not photo worthy.

So I decided I had to come out of the dark room.  Here I am.  Easy coming out!

My obsession started years and years ago, and for my labour I have boxes and boxes of photos.  Oh and yes, I have discovered SCRAPBOOKING, and usually use Creative Memories as my product of choice.
I have to say too, I discovered it is far cheaper to get materials from the USA for Creative Memories than it is here in Australia.  Even with the exchange rate, and postage on top it is still cheaper to buy from the USA.

So back to my obsession.  I would say it is almost as bad as my obsession with Thoughts.com.! I know who would have thought that possible?

It is not unusual for me to take 90 - 100 photo's at a child's 2 hour birthday party.  I have on occassion been asked by the parent to do this, as my reputation as a photo-holic precedes me.
One mother even admitted to me that I would have more photo's of her child than she did.  I don't quite believe that, but maybe in a few years that may well be true!

Yes I have a digital camera, and yes it is an SLR.  I have done an introduction to SLR photography and I know all about aperture and shutter speed, I understand depth of field and exposure.  I don't talk about it much, because well most people's eyes cloud over when I start talking about F-stops!

I have captured lightening twice, and if I can find the CD that I have burnt them onto, I will add them for your viewing scrutiny.  I have done a photo shoot (steamy) for  friend, which got me all creative, or and her of course!  Yes we used oil and a water spray, and no as much as I'd love to share some of the photo's with you... I simply can't.  My friend would kill me!!!!  I've done a wedding (Ex-MIL's) and I can brag that more than 2 friends have enlargements of their children on their wall of photos I've taken.

Oh and don't forget the pet ones I've taken.  Hmmm I think I need to get into this field professionally.
Good Luck I hear you say! I know, I know I don't fancy chasing movie stars, and my self confidence stops me charging for something that "might not" always be perfect.

So if you are a keen photographer, and would like to share your passion here with me, please do so.  Did you spend a fortune on your camera? Do you have  Nikon like me? Or maybe you have a Canon or Olympus?

It's a fantastic way to enrich our memory of events.
The only problem is that I am usually behind the camera, not infront.  So I have to make a point of getting in a couple.  Which I know I can using the tripod and the remote control.

So stand up photographers, tell me who you are... oh only if you want to though.
Or tell me about someone you know like me.

Easy ... click click .... Out

Wow, lightening photos are pretty good. Interesting.

And no, sorry. I'm not one of those photo people.

Well, I bought a new camara today!! But, only because my other one has completely died. The reasons for me choosing it were number one, it was in the sale, and number two, it's pink! So, am I one of those people? I guess not!!! :o)

We take our share of pics around here. I took 5 of the grandbaby without blinking. They are the best pics I've ever seen of her and I've had to send them and print them many times for family. I'm not usually this good at it. I just got lucky. I know nothing about the settings or terms of taking pics.
Her mother asked for the pics because she has little books made of her 3rd birthday as memory books for us all. I think she got them through shutterfly. They are actual hard back books and has all pics of her in them. They are adorable. Somehow through doing surveys she got coupons for free books through shutterfly. Usually these books are 20-30 dollars to have made.

Your scrapping stuff is most likely more inexpensive here because our dollar is so weak.

As I'm no picture taker I have come to appreciate those that do. I have a friend with a great eye. One of my prized possessions is of a photo she took at point Sal, Ca. It's of the beach theres large boulders and sand, you know how the water will leave hills and valleys in the sand when it starts to ebb? A beautiful picture with the sea in the foreground.

I have more pictures of my dog (Pocket) than I do of my grandkids. I think lol!

I even take pictures of critters!

Hello, my name is BootLady and I'm a photoholic.

Whew! That feels kinda good to get that out! I have a Nikon D40 (DSLR)which is now part of my body. I've never captured lightning, but that's only because I'm usually hiding under the bed when it's near enough to shoot. I will one day though! Your shots are awesome! Maybe I'll just punk them and tell everyone I shot them :P

I had a nice camera but she took it. The best place for the whole photo thing is: photo.net you can join the world and see and post great pics. Check it out.

I bought an awesome little digital camera made by Panasonic. It's the Lumix DMC-TZ3--inexpensive, but has a great 10x zoom and a 3" screen. I went to TAOS and took pictures of the sunsets and the flowers. Those were my favorite parts. I'm not a photoholic yet. . .but hopefully I will be in a few short months.

I think one of the few things I love more than taking picture is developing them. Unfortunately I haven't had a place to develop my own pics in a while. Doesn't mean I'm not taking a bunch though!

While I have been told I have a photographer's eye most of the time I'm unable to capture the beauty I see on film. There's so much beauty in this world, that on any given day my mind's eye takes lots of photos that I keep safely stored in my memory bank. When attending a movie I notice camera angles and all those little touches that give extra meaning and beauty to a scene. I enjoy looking at professional photos and also love to pick out photos to put with quotes and inspirational sayings.

Any photo, taken my me, that comes out, is the result of total luck. I have two favorites ... one of a waterfall in the northern part of my state and the other looking down a dirt country road during the Fall season. Enjoyed this post.
