Easy I think it is time for you to tell him he needs to be there for his sons birthday party.
What I think you need to do is instead of asking and making things easy for him, that he has to learn there are things he can opt out of and things he just can't. And I think that birthday parties are in the later catagory. |

I agree with KP, there are some things that are non-negotiable - birthday parties are one of those things. FOTY should be there and you might have to insist...does he live far away from you? Could be that he's wanting to separate himself from you and have his own relationship with your son. My ex did that, so we now celebrate everything separately, twice. Of course, he lives in Brussels though...just wondering. In any case, Happy Birthday, Master 4!!
My daughter's birthday is this Wednesday :-) 23 years old........wow, it seems like just yesterday :-) |
