I have this habit or should I say I have an annoying saying which BE has probably gotten sick of and that is the justification of things men do with the comment :-
"Oh he's/you're JUST A BOY!"
or
"He's being such a BOY"
Usually I'm referring to something Master 5 does, is doing or is about to do!
You know like kick the footy inside, punch Miss 8 because she makes him so mad he can't express himself, pulling the cat's tail (no wonder the cat attacks me any chance it gets!).
But I must admit often I label the adult males that are
around me the same way I do with Master 5.
Granted it is true most (hanging neck in noose)
I say most men Don't ever grow up!
Take for example the other day at work.
I went down to get coffee with 6 of the guys in my team.
We were on our way back to the office when we
notice this lady paying the parking meter.
She's dropped a coin or two and has had to bend down to pick them up.
She's wearing a tight skirt - mid thigh with splits up the side,
and a shirt which is a little bit lower than the average corporate look.
Okay so she is eye catching, I did notice her, sure,
but when I look back at the guys I'm walking with
I notice every single one of them have their mouths
open and their eyes bulging! Then I hear one say
"Yer but I'd never get any work done!
Wouldn't be able to leave my desk... if you know what I mean!"
I turn to the only one walking next to me -
who is laughing at his "mates" and I say
"Oh they are such boys!" to which he answers - "Was there ever any doubt?"
When sexist or "sex related" comments are made in place of a real answer,
I usually answer "You are such a boy!"
Like the other day, BOB (lady) at work and I were discussing
photography, we are both mad keen on it. BOB says something about using a TRIPOD and HMWG stands up and says - "Did you call me?"
- such a boy!!!!!
Now tonight I'm a bit up and down emotion-wise, have to blame it on hormones
(or as Blue describes it so well - the pending arrival of Aunt Flo)...
and I am trying hard not to get bogged down with the little things...
and it came to me .... I'm being such a girl!
There are many things I do that you could say that for ...
Like the need for reassurance (esp. this time of the cycle!)
The doubting of things - even when you're told all is good (esp. this time of the cycle!)
The fact that retail therapy is NOT an urban myth...
It does actually work (anytime of the cycle!) LOL
The committee we women form with our female friends - described as women going home after their dates and sitting down with their committee (good frineds) and analysing every detail of the male in question.
I recall a boy saying it was a frightening thought!
Um what else, or yerr ... talking on the phone for ages - that's gotta be a girl thing!
Saying you are FINE when you really are not! - definitely a girl thing
Refusing help when you need it - just to prove you can do it on your own ... .hhmm maybe thats a E2S thing! LOL
Putting things away before they have been finished with by others - a girl thing
Analysing and then over-analysing situations
Reading into things when we should just take it for what it is!
Hearing the words and believing them instead of twisting them to suit our mood.
Putting lipstick on while sitting at a red light .. that's a girl thing
Wanting to be held late at night - just held ... a girl thing
Expecting foreplay .. now thats a girl thing
Okay I'm getting a bit off the point now... but you get my drift?
Please feel free to add your own
GIRL THING Habit .... or BOY THING habit you do all the time,
even though sometimes we do them subconsciously ...
