Mamacita - Karate is good - it teaches discipline & self defence, it also teaches diversion tactics before engaging in "combat" so to speak. Gives the kids a bit of confidence too :) Let me know if you do.

Oh I can relate to your friend... I knew I had to have a transition man ... and I went on many "coffee" dates to locate him ... and you know I did the same thing, I wouldn't say Oh he was nice he did/said/had that .. I'd find faults - oh he's too confident, oh he tells me I'm great, oh he had a "pink" polo shirt on!!
It's only now in the past month or two that I've felt ready to see the positives in a man, instead of instantly looking for the negatives.
It did help that my transition man (although dumped me for his ex-girlfriend) was a caring considerate person, not a selfish one like my ex.!
She'll come around in good time, you are being a great friend, just by listening.

Mer - I write for me first and foremost, but I too admit that I enjoy comments of friends and "strangers". Mind you often strangers give me a good dose of "WTF"!!
I sometimes write to share information .. eg. TIM TAMS.
But mostly I write what I'm feeling at the time, and also because I don't want to go on about what a SHIT FOTY is to my friends - cause My little munchkins hear me saying those things, but in here it is private.
At the risk of making this comment longer than your blog ....
I have a few REAL life people read my blogs, and I love hearing their feedback, but there are alot of Real Life people I'd prefer not to read me.
I just know I feel a real warmth and uplifting feeling when my friends in here, and I mean my true friends in here comment on my thoughts. And I genuinley think alot of my friends in here are real friends, and if I lived in USA (oh how I wish that were true) I would definitely cross the blogging line and met up with you all for coffee, beer, wine, champagne .. or whatever is appropriate.
I also very much welcome newbies (hey BE) to make comments, and I try not to be offended.....

Why do guys do that ?? Honestly!? FOTY used to do that .. he'd leave two piles of clothes on the floor, not in the basket! one was dirty, one was for not quite dirty and okay to wear again!!
Oh and yerr he knocked me back a coupla times and I just accepted it. But if I said NO! WELL that was a different story.
You need to do what you want to do, I wont tell you what to do ... cause once you are ready you will ....

Hi there, I read your post and could hear a very intelligent lady.
In High School here in Australia my friends ostracized me in year 9.
They wouldn't talk to me for 3 months - I know nothing on what you've experienced.
But I held my head high and didn't let them see how much they hurt me! I even died my hair because they teased me for having Red Hair.
In the end they asked me to be their friends again - and I accepted - but I looked at them differently. Friends don't do this to friends.
The next 3 years of High School were purely an education for me as I sought people outside school to spend my time with.
I am now much older & wiser and have some very good friends - I had trust issues for a long time.
So hold your head up high, search for things that make you happy.... and never let those people who are so shallow and don't bother to get to know you beat you.
You can do anything you want if you put your mind to it ... I guess you just need to find out what you want.
(Hey by the way I'm still looking for what I truly want to be when I grow up!! :)

Hey I think that everyday - why is HIS life so good, he's engaged, he LIVES with his fiancee, he's got a great salary and child maintenance only dents his wallet. Me on the other hand, I have the total responsibility of our 2 kids, we have had to cut so much out of our lives ... and to top it off I have to pay him OUT an obscene amount!! Where's the justice??
But when we open ourselves up to possibilities and options things do change.
You can do this ... not only that but YOU ARE DOING THIS ... each day it will be a little easier, each night a little less scary ... because you HAVE got friends, YOU are an intelligent woman and THE WORLD really can be yours all you have to do is believe again.

okay, I remember reading somewhere that when women have "sex" a chemical is released in their brain which makes them want to attach themselves to their chosen sexual partner, which can be destructive, especially if that partner isn't interested in more than they've got. Yes apparently Men do not have the same chemical reaction!! :)
Another thing, don't feel like you have to do it because others are.
Sex is good, but in my opinion sex should be with someone you love and trust. *sigh* just my humble opinion though.

Australia also has a lot of issues with "Illegal Immigrants", and although I don't think I know all the facts, it drives me mad wondering why we pay to detain them, and then eventually set them up anyway.

See I love spiders and snakes .. not necessarily to "play" with but I have a .. some would say "Sick" fascination with them ... I want to know all about them ....crazy huh.
YES we have WOLF spiders here, infact often they are confused with the huntsman spider. But from what I've read WOLF spiders prefer outdoors, HUNTSMAN prefer Indoors!
Apparently there is a difference, with appearance but I'd be interested in looking at both!!!! See told you I'm crazy!

Okay, I maybe wrong but I think the thing with Brian is that the HIGHs are really highs, but they are far & few between.... and although the low's aren't that bad, they are longer lasting - which Makes the HIGH so exciting and helps you forget about the lows.
Now Camera Guy - how do you know he doesn't have a hidden talent in the bedroom??? How do you know that that is where his secret lies.... maybe he will turn your world upside down and You'll start longing for his touch???
Maybe you do need to just "jump in" and let fate play it's hand!???

I like to read about things I can relate to ... like living life, having fun, being sad, others experiences, I like to read well written poetry (cause I can't write poetry!! I'm too literal!)

AW - your mind is trying to process what your heart is feeling........ been there ... seeing the light at the end of the tunnel finally... took awhile ... but the flame is there.
Don't go, your SOULMATES post caught my interest and I've been coming back to see what else you say - to show me that I'm not the only one.
You write so well, your thoughts are so raw - stay a little bit longer, you have friends here - we all go through that feeling - hang in there - it gets better ... it gets much better :)

I cannot believe that children could do that to another child. That is so sad.
Like the 3 year old that was abducted, and tortured and eventually murdered by two 7 year olds in the UK all those years ago - that still haunts me.
I am so protective over my kids due to things like this, the world certainly has changed.
